they keep calling, theydon't talk when you answer, or leave a message if you don't

repeated calls from a machine, has a fax tone.

These people ask for my husband and when I say he is not available and ask if I can take a message he hangs up on me everytime! On caller ID phone it says Out of Area but it does give me this phone #.

Called at 8:30 on Saturday morning. I didn't answer.

Called and said nothing.

They called asked for my husband. I said he wasn't here then they hung up.  How rude!!  Tried to call them back and heard just a tone, maybe a fax?

Caller ID says Buffalo Illinois called at 8:15 am with dial tone left on answering machine. I have a do not disturb button on my phone so I can't hear it ring until I am ready to.
These calls seem to hit me every Tuesday from various locations. Skumbags!

This number is a dial-up internet access number from the Buffalo, IL area. That is the reason that you think you are getting a fax machine when you call it back. You are actually accessing the dial-up internet system. The actual calls that you are receiving are not coming from this number (217-364-7134), but the scammers have a way of using these numbers to show up on caller id. There are a lot of dial-up numbers around the country that are being used  in this way.

Called at 7:03 AM... By the time I jumped out of bed and got to the phone, they had hung up! I'm on the
DO NOT CALL List, which has apparently become a joke.
