The caller asked for a person in our household by name.
Asked for his idendity he replyed: Andy, US Government Grand Department and they wanted to give that person $7.000.
When asked if I could return his call at the number on my caller ID Andy hung up.

I got the same message from this [***], said she only needed $50 to proccess my $7000, just hang up.

I just got phone call from this number and want give me $ 10,000 from USA Government and asked me if I want this money cash ,CC or deposed to my bank account, when i told here i need it cash she give me this number to call (0054198848) and I asked here where this number from , she said DC , I told here you are scammers she hang up right away. be careful every body

I thank you all for posting this information. They have been calling me for days so when I answered, I was prepared. They pronounced my name completely wrong and I advised they had a wrong number...I could totally hear lots of chatter of other operators in the background.....if someone persistently tries to call me from a number I am unsure of, I look it up on google....because you have posted, I and others are made aware and are prepared! Thanks again....no one wants to get scammed!

Got a call this morning saying they had 10,000 for me then gave me a confirmation number and another number to call.....I told her I only wanted cash she said that was fine mam....please call Max Millionaire at that number he will get it to you.....yes it's a scam but could they not have came up with a less obvious name??!!...

Received call on my cell phone from this number (217-679-2292) today.  The man didn't pronounce my name clearly nor correctly.  I kept asking who it was several time.  No response, then he hung up.   Have also been receiving several emails from people wanting to deposit large amounts of  money in banking account.  Also receiving phonecalls on my land phone.  Am reporting with hopes they will all stop.

I also received this call ( from 217-679-2292) few minutes ago (30-june-2012 : 11:49 AM pst).  The LADY on the phone told me that she is calling from US Grants commision and my name is selected for 7000 dollar from Government. She added that I should not spend this money on gambling. She needed some personal details to proceed further. I asked her managers phonenumber, but she insisted that she needed all required details from me to transfer the call to the manager. My husband quickly googled the number which that scammer called from and we got this website. Thanks for the telling us that this is a scam call. Guys BEWARE of the scam.........

just got this call. but i didnt answer it. i know they will call back. thanks for letting me kow about this no.

i get the same # that every body else gat but when i tryed to calla voice came on the phone & said that they were not reciving calls at this time.

today 07/02/12 i got this call  from these scammer and they wanted me to send them  310 and i will recived 7310 ....and i was about to do it because they have all my information and i don't know how this scammer got the information. so becareful

They called me too. Remember this and you will never be scammed. Never send them money and never give out personal information regardless of what they know about you already.

keep getting calls from this number and I want it stopped.  Not sure but I think it might be Instantcheckmate.

I just got a call from this number.  It was a foreign lady and I couldn't understand her.  I know they are all scams when they say my wrong last name.  I was resently married and they all say my maiden name.

Unlisted called me yesterday but today called with this number appears all same they say who's this etc. he cuss he threaten my life he said he is out of north Carolina said he will be at my place. number on internet shows 217-679-2292 Country: USA Location: IlliAnois (Champaign, Decatur, Springfield) right know they don't ask anything just a severe prank call u really got to have a sad boring life to have this as your job I really pitty these small minded persons that feel that this is all there capable of doing they need raided by some religious gooroo's to snap them out of there dysfunction. so  i'm sure there meant for so much more and I bet they read here so if u are remember this your boss does not have no desire for your well being you are being used to the max. Go away from them, run as fast as u can be for your part of the bust to come. I guarantee a week or a month from know u will realize to manipulate is to be manipulated get out while u can. also for cell phone user get the MR.NUMBER APP. it is great. it will block or send to voice mail it works and is free. these types are takers not givers there for they will suffer the injustice they spread it is the law of nature. Be a give not a taker and u will be taken care of.

I got a call from this today 217-679-2292.  The caller id said Tom Harmon and the other day I got the same call from from a different number but they both said they Government Grant.  I told this time to never call me again.  Lets see if they do or not.

I didn't answer the phone , but from people messages I think they're really scammers. I don't want them to call me again !
