Just got a call from this number. I answered but no one was there. I hung up after a few seconds.

Seems to be a series of numbers, from 217-717- at least 7 ending numbers. They never leave a message.

Got my first and last an hour or so ago.  It held on the whole answering machine message and hung up

Received a call on 05/04/2016 at 07:34 PM.  Voice mail was 5 seconds long but no message.  Caller ID shows, "Springfield IL."

Another # Blocked. This was on 5/4/16 after hours: 7 PM. CT. Must be a $pam or a BS Political thing since it's from Springfield IL. # was on the top & bottom.

Called, didn't answer, no message.  Chicagoland area.  I get a lot of calls through the day and they all seem to be shifting to local numbers.

A political survey robocall from a Springfield, IL spoofed number asking for personal voting information. Hung up & added to my blocked list.

Finally called this number back after receiving numerous hangups, it's a political polling firm.

our phone rings 1 time & blocks the call. Well here they are AGAIN! This was Sat: 5/7/16 @ 11:37 AM CT. We think it's a Political BS robo. GO AWAY!

Got call today.  Don't answer if don't know.  No pressure percolating.   See from previous posts someone hopes it is Gov Rauner.  Maybe so.  Maybe he wants to tell us we are the best Illinoisians ever.  Won't hold my air waiting.

Have called twice, never leaves a message. As I don't answer numbers not in my address book, no idea if there was a person or a machine making the call. Blocked now.

They call just about everyday, using a different number. I block them all but the number changes each day. Caller provides no caller id, just Springfield, IL.
Caller asks political/personal questions about my opinion of Mark Kirk who is running for political office. The voting booth is private. So is my vote and how I determine who I will vote for.

Called..Didn't answer...Presuming a political survey. Getting bombarded with these calls.

Called us... it's a real person calling (they stayed on the phone long enough that the VoiceMail recorded their "sigh" before they hung up).

I suspect the other early posters are correct.... it's a polical polling phone call.  Too bad our U.S. Congress didn't not include Political Pollsters as one of the parties required to observe the National Do Not Call Registry.  LOL!

Leaves no message on answering machine ...

Received a call from 217-717-4838 at 7:17 PM at night on 3/28/17; shown on CID as: "Springfield IL".  Since we NEVER answer calls from numbers, names, or coompanies that we do not recognize, the call was picked up by our answering machine, but no message was left.  Presuming that it's a spoof/scam/sales call of some sort, because a legitimate caller would leave a message and a call back number.  Just HATE these calls in general, but even more specifically when they are made either very early in the morning, or later in the evening.

Hey, JoJo - How's that budget coming??? (10 months later, still no budget!) Gotta agree with Kevin: Rauner is the WORST ever. But, like the guy in the White House, you get what you vote for! Not me! You fools!!! And yeah, they're probably calls from Rauner who's all over tv this week, too. 2018 is only 17 months away and he's accomplished NOTHING!!!
