Receive calls from this phone number frequently.  On the rare occasion when I do answer they say its the IL Fraternal Order of Police.

Aamnda Davenport's purpose in calling is a mystery.   The only question is,

It is something I can't fathom.

Got a call from this number Saturday afternoon just after 2.  Since I'm in Illinois and have friends and relatives in the (217) area code, I picked it up on the third ring.  I heard a single beep, then nothing.  Returned the call and got the "mailbox full" message and an offer to log in to the mailbox system.  Sure wish I could come up with a valid 10-digit box number...

Got a call Oct. 5 at 9 p.m. I don't have caller I.D., and was waiting to hear a voice before I answered.  They didn't leave a voice message. Googled and found A. Davenport's name, and this bulletin board.

received a call from this number. I was on other line so just showed up on caller id with only the name Illinois and the number 217735-2128. Looked up on intenet and got name A Davenport.  I will not answer if he calls back.

Got the call at 2:53 p.m. on 10/11/2007. Was not home at the time and they didnt leave a msg. Lookup reveals the name as

When I called back got a machine saying they werent home and to leave a message. This has obviously got to be some sort of scam. If this lady is involved she better not try anything funny because I have her SSN, DOB and all her neighbors. I called her APT manager and she hasnt lived at that address for over a year but they have had reports of this before.
She gave me Lincoln, IL police dept # to report if you actually talk to this person or figure out whats going on.

Got a call at 8:52p..I actually think I have seen this name on the caller ID before..some freak has nothing better to do..no answer, just hung up after a few seconds.

10/12/2007  5:49 P.M.   THIS IS THE 5TH CALL I'VE RECEIVED IN A WEEK FROM THIS NO.  WHEN WE ANSWER, THEY HANG UP.  LOOLED UP ON THE INTERNET AND GOT THE SAME RESULTS AS THE REST OF YOU.  NO CALL DOES NOT SEEM TO APPLY TO THEM.

they called me saying something about police, now im scared.

is it possible they tracked something bad to my computer? and now they are looking for me?

is this a joke? i just got one saying they were police

then i called back to see if it was legit.

I relieved a call today from this # I live in Texas and had no idea who this Could be. I answered and it sounded like a computer. I called the # bqck and mailbox was full. What is going on?

I missed the call...it was at 6:12 p.m. on 10/17/2007.  I also did a google search and came up with the A. Davenport.  This is very odd.....

Same deal as the others.  Missed call.  Apparently from this A. Davenport person.

Was in the bathroom when I got a call from this number, My husband was out of town, so I was sure it would be home and didn't bother to check the caller ID. IF I had, I wouldn't have answered the call because I never answer calls from numbers I don't know. What a deal. Hard to believe someone has to sit around and do this for entertainment. SICKOS

My phone just rang. I said hello, they said nothing, I hung up. Caller ID showed 217 735 2128, Google search showed A. Davenport, 1105 N State St, Lincoln Illinois. After reading these comments, I will be waiting for "it" to call again. There will be a boating air horn (you can buy at Wal-Mart)sitting next to the phone. Mr Davenport is fixing to get a very loud surprise in his ear.

I THINK WE COULD BE AS ANOYING AS THE PERSON FROM THIS # TO GET UNWANTED CALLS.  SINCE THE VOICE MAIL IS FULL, LETS HAVE THEIR POSTAL MAIL FULL AS WELL, U DON'T HAVE TO WRITE YOUR NAME IN SENDER AREA.
