Woman with heavy Indian accent called me mentioning it's about my windows computer.  I told her I'm on the do not call list.  She said, LISTEN...very loudly, claiming it's not a solicitation, trying to be insistent and make me listen to her about my computer.

I just hung up before she could try to scheme any further.

Lady with Indian accent insisted that we listen to hear about microsoft technical issues, i told her to never call me again. and she just kept talking I hung up on her

Called 3 times between 10am and 5pm. Did not answer...don't know a soul in Evanston, Ill. . Just a pest with possible financial incentive.

I got this call too: persistent. Indian/foreign accent lady tried to walk me through giving her access to my computer. Major scam alert!

They called 3 times today.. I am so sick and tired of getting phone calls from these scam artists. Someone please make them stop!!! I am so tired of reporting them, flipping out on them, threatening them to never call again, and the list goes on... You ignore them, they just keep on calling.

Woman with Indian accent indicated she was calling regarding Windows computer. I asked her if I asked her to call. She said no. I told her I was on the Indiana do not call list and if she called me again, I would report her to the Indiana Atty. Gen. She hung up.

They keep calling and don't answer back when you answer the phone

I also had this number from "Elvaston, IL" show up on my caller ID but didn't answer it. I'm reporting it because I'm sick of all these scammers calling my number, which average about 4 per day for the past couple of weeks. I didn't know what this particular number involved, but reading the reports here, I had the same situation with another caller from the Dominican Republic, which I also reported. I cut them off at the pass and told them it was an obvious scam and to quit calling.

Same as others here. Always heavy Indian accent. They say they are calling about my windows computer. I've told them to stop but they always call before 9am when I'm trying to sleep (I work late at night). We're on the do not call list.

Called with heavy Hindu accent. I said "hello" and immediately said "goodbye" and hung up right after he/she said they were calling about my Windows program.

I was afraid it was someone I knew, so I used the redial. Got a recording that the the number had been disconnected. Today, someone called from that same number. I answered, but no one responded. I just set the phone aside and waited for them to hang up.

I got a call from this number three times in the last two days. Didn't answer. After reading these posts, I'll answer the next time and have some fun with them!

An Indian sounding man has called us numerous times saying that he is calling about our computer and that they have received messages about various Windows related issues coming from our computer. But of course, he can't give us any details about which computer he's referring to or what the issue is or the serial number.

Today, was the last straw and I let him go on for awhile as I asked him again which computer and the like, and then when he couldn't answer, I told him to never call my number again because I knew he was running a scam on unsuspecting people and that if he ever called my number again that I would be calling the FBI to report his scam and the number that showed up on the caller ID. It was the 217-845-8321 number from Elvaston, IL.

Actually, my caller ID said "Elvaston" Illinois, as a couple people below also report, but I, too, at first thought it said "Evanston."  (And no, I did not answer the call, nor did voice mail or a machine.)

I just looked up "Elvaston."  There really is such a place, which had a population count of 165 in the 2010 census.

Cute.  These people show you right away that their intent is manipulative, by wanting you to think "Evanston."

I got a number of these calls from various locations and phone numbers warning me of a virus in Windows. Mostly Caribbean accented men. They assume everyone uses Windows. Some of us don't. Worst researched scam ever.
