- Rachel Fong| 1 replyMy god daughter got a call like the others above. She's a student, and they said she'd been given a grant and should go to Walmart to collect this grant money. They said they were from the government, "the office of financial services." She called them back and they told her this stuff again. She thought her ability to call them back meant something in their favor, towards being legitimate.
However, they hung up on me when I called them and asked who they were.- Call type: Prank
- Furious| 1 replyyes same people called me also saying the same thing only this time they told me I was eligible for 500 to 600 dollars I don't ever have to pay back I just cant use it for gambling prostitutes or hookers even though their the same thing just different name how do I report these people?
- Caller: unkown
- Call type: Prank
- furious replies to Rachel Fonghello sorry to hear what happened and these people have been calling me non-stop everyday for 2 weeks straight now she wont stop the only way to stop this is to report them to the police let them know that number keeps calling you and harassing you
- jacquie replies to AmandaThey're a scam, my family just got the same call and they told us to load $160 on a green dot card as a security deposit and that they would give us $5000 for doing so. Just called the police in California and in Illinois where they are located and they both just said to file a report on some crappy website. There's really nothing we can do besides get the word out and not accept calls from people who can barely speak a word of English. We thought we were gonna have a good Christmas....wrong!!!
- jacquie| 1 replySo when I got back from the store they told me to go to so I could get my money I decided to make their day as miserable as they has just made my family's morning. We thought our prayers had been answered and Christmas would be beyond fantastic, WRONG!! So I spent the rest of my day blowing up the number they called me from, the first few times I politely asked them for a business name. At one point a lady answered and said they were the US government. So then they started answering and not saying anything, so I relentlessly kept calling, and the Indian gentleman answered and obviously aggravated yelled into the phone "You call 100 times! What's wrong you?," I replied "for somebody who can barely speak English you sure can count well" I obsessively continued calling until from what I could tell either took the phone off the hook or blocked my number, which is fine with me. Because that means they'll never call me again or if they took the phone off the hook, they aren't able to steal any money from us from that phone at least. I plan to continue calling them from a different number tomorrow and the next day and the next. I obviously don't have a job right now and have nothing better to do than to mess with these guys. I suggest doing the same, take ten minutes out of your day to blow their phone up, like I said it will block up the line so nobody can call in and let them know they're money is ready to be stolen from them. Unbelievable, "go to specified store and buy a green got card and put a $160 security deposit on it then call us with the number and well give you $5600" too bad these people aren't being stopped.
- jacquie replies to jacquieThey made a big mistake when they decided to try to steal from my family, I pray for them I don't ever find myself in the same city as them!!!
- jacquie replies to FuriousIC3.gov that's where the police department told me to report them, this site is affiliated with the FBI
- john| 1 replyIts a scam! I have my cell phone linked to my home phone, so I saw a missed call. I called the number it confused them because they did not recognize the number calling. They asked it I had another number, I said oh let me check. Sure enough it was on my cell as a missed call. I called from my cell and they had my 1st and last name. They said (Indian Male voice) because my family paid their taxes on time I am eligible for 5,000. They said that I cannot use it for gambling or some other useless reason to use money. They told me to go to any Wal-Mart or CVS etc. and call them. I work at CVS and I have seen this scam work through my customers, some fell for it even though warned, others heeded the advice and never lost a dime.
Praise The Lord.- Caller: US Govenment

- HangUpImmediatelyIt's all fraud and a scam for you to purchase as many green dot money pak cards and possible and for you to give them the numbers off the back. They're pretending to be a government agency and telling people they've been awarded $5,600 and to purchase a card for $160. They'll keep asking you to purchase cards for larger and larger amounts.
