Get calls but there is never anyone on the line.

I just got a call from this number. It is a Minnesota number. No messages were left.

Phone call during conversation. When I called the #, got a busy signal

Has called a number of times, including a half hour ago. It's a Grand Rapids, MN number serviced by AT&T. They never leave a message. Connection Agency???

I just received a call from this number - no message was left.

Called about 40 minutes from area code my husband and eldest are currently in, so answered it. Asked for me by name then launched into an recording about veterans but it was an organization I had never heard of, ending up with something along these lines, 'if we send you a packet of information would you agree to contribute?'  When I said 'no, we .  .  .  ' the live person got back on line, said thank you and hung up. Very deep southern accent in the recording. My husband is in VFW and we do contribute, but only to those organizations I have thoroughly vetted. Fella never let me finish, '.  .  [we] never make any pledges over the phone.'

Just got a call, but did not get to the phone in time to answer.  Luckily I looked out here. I never would give any $ to a phone solicitation. I have certain charities I donate to, and that is all I can handle.

Multiple calls over last week. On do-not-call list.

Charities, along with some Survey's and Political calls, are exempt from the DNC, however, they can still get into trouble for not placing you on a internal DNC when asked, you can also check your states laws in regards.  Some states have different laws in regards to the calls,  which can differ from the federal.

Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or less. If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

called number got busy signal

Just got a call from this number to my unpublished phone number, it was a local call (Grand Rapids, MN area).  Soliciting money for disabled veterans, asked for commitment.  When I started saying I do not give by phone, they didn't let me finish talking just started talking over me saying they would remove me from their list.  Tried to call back and it was busy signal.  Felt questionable that this was a legitimate charity.  Didn't state name of charity, just calling on behalf of disabled vets.

It must be a shy telemarketer or someone gaming their call counting system. No one there. Busy signal.

More likely a phishing call looking for live numbers, either by having the phone answered or by having you call the number back. Once that's done, your phone number can be tagged as a live number, and now susceptible for scams from everyone else in the room where the call came from.

I just had the same experience. Southern accent, call about a veterans' organization. I am simply not going to donate to a charity that calls me, but in my case, when I said, "Not at this time, thank you," he actually started to try to talk me into a donation anyway. So I had to interrupt, explain that I already give generously to charities and cannot afford more and hung up on him. He actually was trying to speak to me AGAIN when I hung up. If this is a legitimate charity (which I doubt), they need to train this person better.

The person doing this is from Rochester, mn. Her name is Lara Carr Wittler. Her address is 902 11th ave n.w  apt#601  55901 . The reason when you call back the line is busy.she is using the internet to use others phone# then when they call back it ends up your phone number.  She has done this before also  she needs to be reported to the authority

Do you REALLY believe that what you have posted to be true, and expect others to accept it as fact? It is possible that YOU are the one that needs to be reported to the authorities, and then taken away to an institution.
