    Scam from India
Female with Indian accent claiming to be "Windows Tech Support".  I had some time so decided to play along with her.  She could not understand the English language, but was able to "waste her time" for several minutes.  Have blocked her phone number since then.  Looking forward to the next call feom another number.

they have called several times, got smart, got an air horn.  Played along long enough to determine scam, then BLASTED!  Calls stopped for about 2 weeks.  Just got one.  Let's see how long this one lasts.  Yes, very heavy foreign accent!

Claims of a windows problem with computer and am I in front of my computer.  Jerks!

Called this time from Viking, MN

Male caller had heavy Indian or Pakistani accent and claimed to be a windows technician trying to  help out with a computer problem.  I asked which computer and he could not tell me, he wanted me to provide a computer ID number.  I also asked which version of windows had the problem and again he could not tell me even the windows version.  I then proceeded to advise him to never call this number again.  However, I'm sure that a scammer is not going to listen.

Got a phone call from them, same story as reported by everyone else.  Male, thick Indian accent, stated they had received messages from my computer advising of a virus infection.  I too had some time to mess with him and thanked him for his dedication and hard work.  After his blurb that he finished, I asked him what the IP address of the computer was that he was receiving the messages from and he asked if I was home and could sit in front of the computer, then he tried to "walk" me through how to find the IP address.  I became annoyed with him at this point, since they can't even give them a good script to follow, and suggested that he was participating in a scam and, as it was crossing state lines, that perhaps the FBI would be interested in getting his information.  He hung up the phone then.

    2 minutes ago - I received a call from Minnesota - 218-523-6541 -
They said they were from windows tech support.  They said they had my Computer license ID and could tell that my computer was infected with many viruses.
Last Sunday, someone with an Indian accent called from 803-317-2687, said they were from I Yogi (a Indian computer tech support company who takes remote control of my computer to accomplish repairs).  They said that I Yogi was closing and they wanted to get me to open my bank account on line, after they had remote control of my machine - After I hung up, I found out that they tried to deduct money from my account.  They failed.  But they were able to access my bank.  I had to change all my numbers and passwords.
I hope you are able to track them down - they are very active.

Total scam.  Originates in either India or Pakistan.
    See:  http://www.irs.gov/uac/Newsroom/IRS-Reiterate ... -Telephone-Scam

    Report them:
    http://www.treasury.gov/tigta/contact_report_scam_ok.shtml

IRS does not file lawsuits.   Court action, if any is handled by the DOJ and all parties are entitled to legal assistance if it is a criminal matter.  But--tax disputes are for the most part civil matters.  90% of all IRS tax disputes are settled administratively.  IRS has absolutely no authority to call on local law enforcement for anything. Local law is never involved in IRS tax disputes.   If LE is necessary, US Marshals do the job.  IRS does not cold call anyone and ask for money. No one is prosecuted for ordinary tax disputes.  All determinations of tax liability are subject to appeals.  All  contacts by the IRS are initiated by US mail.

Don't know how many times I've gotten this phone call, but I guess it's the first time from this number. Always the same ruse:  They say my PC is infected and they have called to fix the problem. Always the same kind of accent:  Indian or Pakistani apparently. They always want to take control of your PC. Played along for ages the first time -- playing dumb as if I had no idea how to do anything on the PC.  Wasted a whole bunch of their time.  Now, I just block the number. I work from home, and get calls from all over the country, so I have to answer calls, even if I don't recognize the number. But at least the call blocker means these scammers only get through once before being blocked.

Have been receiving multiple calls from this number for several days.....finally answered one today.  Man with a very thick East Indian Accent tells me they are calling from MicroSoft because they've been "tracking" an unusual amount of errors.  I asked if it was a sales call and he said no, but wanted me to go to my computer and he would give me further instructions to "take care of the problem".  I hung up.

Same issues as above with claiming to be from Windows Support and my entire computer was infected.  I told them it was not a good time and calling back at 3 a.m. would be more convenient.  He laughed and hung up.  He had called three times and on the third call I let him try his luck but he failed.  Very heavy accent and difficult to understand.

My wife has gotten harassing calls and has been unable to get them to stop calling. I know Indian accents very well, so I am thinking this is more Iraqui or Iranian.  Definitely hit a nerve when I asked about Islam.  I took the last call and bated him by asking him questions with long pauses and feigned great interest, kept the guy on the phone long enough to know they do not have a money scam.  It is something else.  He said, there are other things more important than money! Maybe Jihad...I dont know, but I had the time to really whip this guy into a frenzy.   He eventually hung up calling me a MFkr.  I was afraid he was going to blow a gasket.
Now I am blocking the number.  Gladly pay whatever it takes to lose these people.

Man calling claming to be with windows. Asked about my computer and gave some long speech. When I asked what that meant,  he hung up. Still unclear of why he was claiming to call. Had a thick accent.
