This idiot could barely speak English and told me he was from Microsoft and wanted to talk to me about a problem I have with my computer. I told him he was a scam, I wanted no  more of his BS and leave me alone!!

got a call from a guy with heavy Indian accent.  Hr told me my computer was sending out bad vibes and needs repair.  This is my third or fourth time he has called.  I call him a scammer and hang up

Like RBB I got the same far eastern (India?) call claiming to be from Microsoft.  My wife heard me talking and asked who was calling.  She couldn't have timed it better.  I told him to hang on a sec, then told her it was a scammer calling.  I returned to the call (he of course heard what I said -- as intended).  He repeated he was calling from Microsoft.  I said, no you're not.  You're a crook impersonating MS.  I asked how his career in crime was going for him.  He asked me why I said that.  I said, my company works with the FBI.  That brought a long pause.  I then asked if he had any other clever comments, because I had a whole bunch of insults I'd saved up just for him.  He hung up.  I immediately blocked all further calls from that number.  It's kinda fun to insult these jerks.  Don't get mad, have fun.  Insult them.  Then block calls from that number.  (Panasonic has a line of wireless phones that can block up to 250 calls.)

I just got off the phone with a call from this number.  Though the number showed on my phone the caller name was Unavailable.  The caller, who spoke with an accent, said he was with Windows Technical Department in North Carolina (please note that phone number is from Hammond,In) and that my computer was being hacked and that my bank accounts, etc. were at risk. Thus he needed access to my computer to help me fix it.  As I asked more questions he talked on trying to "assure" me that he was legitimate, even gave a very long number saying it was my computer windows number.  In the end I told him I would take the matter up with my own Geek Squad person and hung up.  When I called the number back I got an immediate busy signal.

Called and left no message. Scam call center called last year on Thanksgiving, I guess thinking enough people would be around to answer and perhaps fall for the scum-scam calls.

I get several of these calls a month, always from people with heavy accents.  I've asked them not to call several times, but they continue to call, so, I play along, wasting their time......I'm doing dishes and not even near my computer as they "Guide" me on how to fix the "problem" with my computer.  Finally, after 15 minutes, they put a "Supervisor' on the phone.......another person with an accent, but this time he tries to makes himself sound Australian! He starts giving me directions and I play along but I'm really doing dishes. Finally I just say "My son knows alot about computers, he'll fix it, thank you".  Oh, they get so mad!  

We were receiving daily calls from this same jerk. My wife told him to stop calling at once. He called back several times within a ten minute period just to call her an MFer. The calls were showing anonymous. We have Ooma so I blocked the calls. Then they started to come in with a "V" in front of the number string. I spoke to him yesterday and he told me my computer was sending out messages that there was an issue. I told him that was impossible and that he was a low life scammer. Today we received a call without the "V" and just the number, which I have now blocked with Ooma.

Just got a call from this number 219-349-9325, heavily accented guy claiming to be with windows although caller ID said Unknown Name I know it's a scam and just told him I wasn't interested. I know the number probably can't be traced because they are probably spoofing the number. My number even showed up one time and I know I'm not calling myself! Sure would be nice if these people could be caught and stopped from scamming people.

I agree with all of you.  I just received the same call.  I could not believe the urgency in this guys voice.
Ranting that my computer has been hacked and critical...he wanted me to turn my computer on so he could assist me to fix it. I told him I had an emergency and had to go.  As reluctant as he was I hung  up. If he calls back I will deal with him (report to the FCC and the States Attorney's Office).  These people are disgusting  and should be ashamed.

Indian accent man called today and said he was from windows and that he has info that there is a problem with my computer.  He could see it.  Asked if I am near my pic   I told him to go away and don't call back.  I keep getting scam calls.  Another bad call I received was the irs saying that I owed money and better pay by midnight ...remember that the real IRS  never calls people.  They send a letter.

I keep getting a call from this number (219)349-9325 at least twice a day every couple of days. I know it's a scan so I usually ignore it, today I decided to answer. Wasted a good five minutes of the hardly understandable mans time before tearing into him because my screen was black. He hung up on me and I laughed. I never even turned my laptop on, but apparently "microsofts technical support", or wherever he was supposedly calling from, doesn't know you're not supposed to hang up. Horrible scammer.
