Received a call today, 11/11, CID = Indiana.  I did not answer as I don't know anyone in Indiana.

Caller stated he was from "Technical Department calling in regard to my computer." Well, these kinds of cold calls ONLY come from scammers, telemarketers, or both. I immediately hung up on him.

Caller stated he was from "Technical Department calling in regard to my computer."  I would not answer phone or immediately hung up on them. Do not talk with them.

I just got a call like this stating my computer was showing  some problems. I asked what company are you from and he said Microsoft. I could not understand him and told him I do not understand you.  He said hold on and I hung up.  Scam.

yes, this is a scam and apparently these criminals are using different phone numbers and different locations.  If you engage them in a conversation they will continue to harass you by calling several times a day.  Its best not to answer of block the call if you are able.   I have a friend who works for NASA who she just attended an FBI workshop on  fraud.  It was confirmed that these people who say they are from Microsoft are nothing but frauds although its public knowledge the agent said he can't believe how many people are still falling for this.  Don't be a victim of this scam, ignore the calls or report them to your local police department if they are harassing you.
