    No.  You are mistaken. Again.

This is just like all of the other times you thought you knew the answers but didn't.

Now I will tell you what you already know.  It is the black helicopters that are responsible.

So now you know the answer.  Or so you think.

    peace off,

    Art Bell

6:09 this morning - one of those "let us fix your computer" calls. I told her she should be ashamed of herself and to try to get a real job.

Received a call at 6:45 a.m, today, waking us up, only to find someone saying they were from Microsoft and we have a problem with our computer.  I was awake enough to tell him exactly what I thought...woke us up, this is a scam as Microsoft do not contact you, and if they call again, I will report them.

Got a call at 6:57 AM today asking for my husband (by name).  When I asked who was calling, he replied, "Tim at Computer Support calling about his computer."  Little does he know, hubby does not have a computer.  I told him he had the wrong number and hung up on him.

I live in Canada, and this morning I received a call from this number. A man in broken English stated that my computer was full of viruses, etc. which he could fix. I replied, "Why don't you quit deceiving people and get a real job?" He then said, "Can you give me a job?" I asked where he lived, and he replied, "India." I told him I was retired and had no job for him. He then asked, "Can you help me in any other way? All I need is food."

I didn't know whether or not he was being honest. Later I checked the area codes in India and 223 is not among the codes for the major cities.

Scammers (Indian-sounding) with a bunch of gobbledegook warnings about my computer being "infected." Tried to get me to give them remote access to my computer so they could save me from the "hackers."  Guess what? THEY ARE the "hackers!"

Don't fall for this. I have a degree in comp. sci. and I could tell they were full of it. I worry that someone else might not catch it...

don't EVER give someone remote access to your system unless you KNOW they're the real thing.

I don't pick up when the caller ID doesn't give a name. If it is someone I know, they will leave a message, and I can then pick up. I was just curious about who was calling. Glad I didn't pick up.

Received call from African-sounding man...the same deal...telling me my PC was infected with a virus, and the only way they could save it was for me to allow him access to my computer....blah blah blah....I engaged him, trying to get info. He told me his name was "Peter" and the company was "PC Solutions." I then asked him for his number so I could call back, and he gave me 952-539-5046, which I did call  back, but it was bogus. Duh! I mean, I'm a Mac person, so puh-lease...but if he calls some old people, they might fall for it. Yo scammers...next time, try getting people who are articulate and don't sound Nigerian!
