Received a call on 12/22/2016 at 11:02 AM.  Did not leave voice mail.  Caller ID shows, "Evanston IL."

I think it may be the police donation scam .

Called ID reads, Evanston, IL

ID was "Illinois", left no message, now blocked.

Robocall. No name on CID, except ILLINOIS.

Rec'd call this afternoon and Caller ID said Illinois.  I did not answer and no one left a message.

Received a call from 224-204-0226. Didn't answer it though.  Getting tired of these kind of calls.  I see now that it's a police donation scam.  Here's another number they are using:  312-940-6304.  Got a call from them today too.  They don't know how to give up.

224-204-0226 "Ray" says calling from the Illinois Association of Police Chiefs.  Is a donation scam.  We have asked that they take our number off their call list, but they persist.  If you try to call their number to complain, get a "this number has been disconnected" message.

Answered the call because I was expecting a call from area code 224. After a slight pause a live person said in a very bright and cheery voice "Hello sir, this is Ray. How are you today." Definitely selling something. Did not wait to find out what. Hung up and blocked the number immediately.

Man identified himself as Ray from Illinois Police Association.  A Scam.

Sick of hearing "Hello? Hello?" on my answering machine...scammer! Reported it.

When "Ray" finally picked up, I asked what he was selling. He said it was IL Police Assoc. I told him to put something in the mail and I'd look at it. Then I hung up. I don't to anyone over the phone-period!
If it really was for Police Assoc it was a professional fund raising association.

I answered but no one was there until I said "Hello" three times. Then the fake sounds of the boiler room kick in and a man's voice says "This is Ray. How are you?" I could tell it was a voice-activated call because of the delay in the answer, so I asked "Ray who?" No response. At last, a way to jam up their voice activation!

224-24-0226- Keeps calling, sits quietly then hangs up.  Keeps calling

Caller ID said Evanston IL.  We get a lot of unknown calls from this city.  No message left.

Answered -- yeah, I know: foolish me! -- on second ring.  Nobody there.  Complete silence.  Said "Hello" repeatedly.  Still complete silence.  Said "F*** you very much" and the call disconnected.  Blocked the number.  Caller ID said "Evanston IL".  That's about an hour drive from here.  Give me a friggin' ADDRESS in Evanston and these particular calls will end...

This number 224-204-0226 keeps calling my DoNotCall registered number .  Caller ID says Evanston, IL  No message noidentity stop calling or a report will be made to the registry.  Get a REAL job and quit annoying people

11:30am, CID=>ILLINOIS, i am so popular that the entire state of illinois is calling ME. Too bad I never give to police charity scams from a Chicago area code. My CPR blocker is set to block most chicago area codes. One new area code to add. It is illegal for illinois police or fire to solicit charity donations by phone.
