why am I being stalked and harassed by someone calling
me from strange random numbers?

"Rachael from Card Member Services" called.  When I was transferred to an agent and asked to be removed from their calling list, I was hung up on.

I guess it is going to buisness as usual with this DO NOT CALL list. It does no good whatsoever to put your number on the list , because these idiots still call all hours day or night. Is there anybody in charge of this masquerade? While I set nere typing, not 5 minutes later another stupid call comes in from 715-000-0000 go figure

"Hello, this is Rachel with Card Holder Services calling in referenceto your current credit card account.  THere are no problems currently with your account.  It is urgent that you contact us cncerning your eligibility for lowering your interest rate.  Your eligibility expires shortly, so please consider this your final notice.  Please press 9 on your phone now to speak with a live operator & lower your interest rate.  Thank you."

Reporting caller but don't know what or how they'll track as it's an invalid fake number.

This is rachel with card holder services, calling to rip you off.  I had m air horn, and i pressed 9.  I told the guy to put me on the do not call list and he said what and i gave him a blst of the air horn

The DoNotCall Registry works on voluntary compliance like speed limit signs on highways. Honest telemarketers honor the Registry, abusive telemarketers and scammers do not.

I just got a call from 2249990000 but didn't answer it. They left no message either.  Also why are they calling on a SUNDAY??????  This is rediculous!  I'm on the DNC list also and alot of good it does!  When you try to report anyone to them...they are never available or something is wrong with the site!

they call everyday and when i do pick up i tell them to to put me on thier no call list. Then they are rude .This has been going on for three months now

This number has been calling--saying they are a Card Service-- over and over again.  We try to call back but get no help---we want them to STOP calling us please!

Scammer called about my credit card problem & said press 9 to speak with a live operator now. I pressed 9.. immediately was greeted by a man who sounded like he was from India. Said his name.  I told him I do NOT own ANY credit cards & his reply was are you sure? WTH!! He then asked me my name, which all I said was my first name.Then he asked if I could hold for a moment while he checked the phone number, came back on about 30 sec later & said that my number had been removed.
I then called BBB 1-2 mins later & asked them about it & The guy on the other end said it was a scammer & not to give ANY personal info especially bank acct info or anything at all.

Just got a call from 224-999-0000.  It was "Rachel" again.  Last time she called from a different number and I pressed a button to be removed.  This time there was no option to be removed.  So I pressed 9 to get a representative and told him to take me off the list.  He asked me if I was ordering him or asking politely, I said again, take me off this list or I will file an FTC complaint.  He said - "you order me or you ask me nice sweetheart?"  I said I'm ordering.  I'm done being nice.  Take me off the list or I'll file an FTC complaint.  He called me sweetheart again, and I said that's it...I'm not your sweetheart and I'm filing a complaint, and I hung up.

This call appears to be an identity fraud as the woman asked for my personal information under the pretext of using the information to get lower interest rate credit card and initially believing this I did and when she got the information I was transferred to a man who then asked for the SAME information and then I saw the fraud and hung up.

These calls MUST be stopped. I have an unlisted number and I do not know how they got my phone number in the first place.

I trust you will be able to STOP this  !!!!

I called the number back, hoping to be able to remove my name from their list, but the call "cannot be completed as dialed." Scammers.

A customer came in today - worried about his cc with us.  He received a call from this company who asked to lower his interest rates on his cc.  They provided him with the card number and balance on several cards.  He asked if this was a scam or something and the guy hung up on him!  DO NOT GIVE personal info out over the phone!!!

Another call from "Rachel" We are on the DNC list but the calls keep coming, pressed 9 so I could talk to a person to ask them to remove our number, man from India said hold line for 90 seconds to wait for his supervisor naturally the only thing that happened was that I waited and he hung up.

Had the same issue. Transferred to a "person" basically to tell them that our number is incorrect and was recorded wrong or was from a previous user of this number. I can't even verify what number it is since we rarely answer our home phone and have never given it to anyone since we have no knowledge of it. "gentleman" on the other end then made accusation I have used this credit card several times to but "adult" toys- hard to do since I don't actually HAVE a credit card. He then made very rude and graphic comments. Upon asking for his name (refused) and company (refused) , he went on another graphic tirade.
Called XFINITY to see if they had a trace available they said to hit *57 which sends a trace to the local police and then to actually call the police to file a report. Spoke with an investigator who will try to research what he can.
I encourage all of you to do the same thing, and DON'T EVER GIVE OUT INFO.

3/29/2012   Noon - Unknown number has been calling me for months.  Each time it uses a different number but always comes up as Unknown and they hang up or talk over my answering machine message.  It is scammers trying to get Credit Card information.  I believe DNC has stopped 99% of the random calls I get, but there are always those that slip thru the cracks.  I do not answer unknown and hopefully they will move onto another phone number to call.

Keeps calling every day wants to fix my credit cards I dont even have.I ask  them not to call but they still do,

they called about lowering interest on cc account i unfortunately fell for it. they tried to charge 690.00 on to credit card and 30 to 60  later would see my interest drop by half. i didn't authorize it. his name is kevin parker id. no 1069 sounded like he was from india, WHAT A JOKE. I called my my credit card representative right away and explained my story. They promptly cancelled my card. LESSON LEARNED!!!!!!!!! I have to admit they were pretty convincing.
