they called and no message was left. it is not the first time this number has called. even called on my old cell number. don't understand how they got my number because i moved to a different state.

called but left no message. Tried to call the number back but no one answered

I called the number from a different phone.  It is a company called Transfinancial.  Found them on the internet and they do credit repair.  I just got his number two days prior and it is a prepaid phone.  They probably call prepaid numbers because the possibility of someone with bad credit to solicit bussiness.

The number belongs to a collection agency called Transfinancial Recovery. If you want to know more about them google the number 225-767-5055.

Just got this number as well not sure how they got my number either call back got a busy signal

I answered.  It was an automated call...so I hung up

Transfinancial has been calling my phone and they are looking for the above name mentioned.  Each time they were told that that person doesnt live at the number or address they are calling to.  They have ignored each attempt at being told they are calling the wrong person...  This company has also been told this number is listed on a do not call registry, They have been told that they are violating FDCPA.  Calling for people that do not reside at the number or dwelling they are calling to.  They were told that numerous occassions and they are still calling.. I was also told by them that they were to be told that they number they are calling is INVALID but they continue to call.  I guess Its now time to contact an attorney and sue for harrassment and violation of numerous acts in the Fair Debt Collection Practice Act.   The Number the are calling isnt the person they are looking for and here is a list of how often they called.

All of these calls were answered and told that this person doesnt not have this number they are calling and that they do not live at the dwelling they are calling to... AND THEY CONTINUE TO CALL AFTER THE FACT.

This number called my house today and a recording said they were looking for someone who's name starts with an "S" and last name Thomas, I couldn't understand what the first name was. It said to press 1 if you were that person so I pressed and no one was there. I get calls almost every other day from numerous collection agencies look for Sheryl Thomas, Shaquita Thomas, Shamika Thomas, Sharita Thomas and several other people who's names start with "S" and last name is Thomas. My first name starts with "S" and madden name is Thomas and that's how I used to be listed in the phone book for my area. Every person that I spoke with that works for these collection agencies says "How do you know this wasn't this person's number before yours"? and I tell them "Because my name starts with "S" and last name used to be Thomas and don't you think it's a little coincidental that 6 other people who have the same initials all used to have the same number, I know what y'all do, you can't get in touch with the person so you already know what city they live in and you look on the internet and start calling people with the same initials hoping you will find them"

called for a person name Glades. Never heard of Glades! I have owned this house and phone number for 29 years

I just pulled my credit report and guess what was on it - My cell phone number and my email address.  They were right there with my current and past addresses.   When we fill out those applications to apply for credit, they are adding this info right to our credit reports. This is how debt collectors are getting your info.

i just got my number changed to this one and they have called me 4 times this week. i do not know who they are.  they have not left any messages and i cannot reach them to tell them that i am NOT the person that they are trying to reach.

Calls after hours

They call and ask you to press "1" if you are who they are looking for. When you press "1", no one ever comes to the line. Its really irritating. When I called back on my own, they transfer me to whomever is handling the account, but the person's extension just rings and rings.
