They called my business phone number and asked for the person that handles credit card processing for the business.  Telemarketer.

they call and hang up at my place of work it's so creepy

Called & asked for the business owners.
I told them she wouldn't be able to talk to either one.
She asked if she called back in the morning would she be more likely to reach them.
I said no.
She said she'd leave a message, and that it was Brittany from Merchant Services, Inc, calling about out recent rate increase.
I told her we hadn't had a rate increase.
She was quiet.
I said thank you and hung up.

hang-up; sounded like the 'agent' answered another line just as I picked up.

Got a call from that # and had no answer.
Called back and it said this # is no longer in service - 2 min. later  ??

Telemarketer using a LOCAL area code to call us now.  SO MUCH TIME WASTED with these lying low-life thugs.

225-372-3505 - Just called our business, yet AGAIN. That makes call number 12! They keep calling asking for the person who handles our credit card processing for our business. Since we use Square, we have NO need for what they are offering. The majority of our sales are paid via either personal check or cash, so having an actual machine and paying a monthly fee to some company makes NO financial sense. We politely informed them of this, and yet they kept chugging along with their little monkey with a script spiel. Since we record all incoming calls, and we informed the caller of that, a copy of the call is going to be provided directly to the FCC.gov as well as to the Louisiana Attorney General's Office. The little monkey with a script was extremely rude, refused to remove our number from their call list, and told us to "go F ourselves". Yes, I sincerely think that we WILL be reporting this company.

That is pretty funny.  I too am a business owner and they constantly call me.  I was with a client today so when the lady started her spiel I simply told her I wasn't interested and hung up the phone.  She instantly called right back and left a nasty message on my answering machine telling me how horrible and unprofessional of a business owner I am.

This caller harrasses us constantly.  Whether they reach the business owner, the manager, or the person in charge of our "merchant services" they do not take no for an answer.  She calls back and gives attitude.  This is only harrassment at this point, and I'd love to find out how to officially report her and her company- which she does not provide when requested.  

"Marie" with some merchant services company called claiming to be "the primary merchant processing company for Gretna [city]".  What does that even mean?  She wanted to make sure that we have some sort of updates.  What business is that of hers when I use a different company for merchant processing?  

I told "Marie" that I don't do business with their company so I have nothing to say to them.  She replied "Well, you're saying it, aren't you?"  I replied "Yes, I'm saying goodbye" and hung up.

These people lie and try to make you think that you already do business with them, or try to trick you into switching to them.

Exact same issue. They call frequently on my cell but it always hangs up if I answer, never leaves a message if I don't, and if I call back this number (got it off caller ID), it says it's been disconnected or no longer in service. WTF?

same  thing is happening at my office, only no one speaks when I say hello.
They call my office phone all day long and that is no joke!

Called and asked for the person in charge of merchant accounts and I was like accounts payable? and she said yes and I said that's at our corp. office do you need the phone number and she said oh she called the wrong number she has it  sorry she hopes i have a great day. It was kind of bizarre and sounded like a scam when I picked up the phone she was lauging hysterically and after she calmed down she started talking and then was overly nice when I said it was at our corp. office.

Someone named "Claire" claiming to be a representative of my merchant processing company, telling me that I have a flag on my account.  I asked her what merchant processing company, and she mentioned one of the names that the processing company I use goes by.  She claimed that her company was hired by several merchant processing companies to make these calls.  I told her I had no idea who I was speaking to and that I wouldn't discuss my merchant processing services with her.  She once again told me her name was Claire, to which I responded that that means absolutely nothing and that this sounded like a scam and that I'll contact my merchant processing company myself.  She wished me good luck and I hung up.

225-372-3505 - Just called our business. Caller ID came up as "Baton Rouge, LA". The female caller asked to speak to the person who handles our merchant services. Told her that we're a cash only business. She said "OK, thank you, bye." and hung up. Blocking the number immediately.
