"Henry" from "Windows Technical Department" (a scam to get your passwords) -- I get calls from these guys every few days, from numbers around the country. They're probably calling from from Asia over the Internet, and aren't keeping a record that I've told them I have no Windows PCs to infiltrate!

Sorry i forget to tell you that i just moved abroad after getting married so i will not be available to come for viewing but regarding the loom collection, i have someone that will be coming for the loom pickup for me together with some few items of mine left there so you don't need to bother about the shipping of the loom. Once you have received the payment then we can fix a day for the loom pickup. Let me know if this is okay and if payment by certified check is acceptable by you. Thank you

Classic overpayment check scam. You get check/higher amount than what you wanted/you forward cash by cash wire transfer service to their 'shipper'. 4-6 weeks check bounces, etc. etc. etc. This one was old 20 years ago.

Caller with a heavy accent called and said I have a computer virus.  I said I don't have a computer virus.  He said yes you do and got louder.  I thanked him for staying on the line so the police could get a good read on we're he was.  He then screamed obscenities at me and hung up.  Total scam!!!

This is about my 4th call from Microsoft technical dept.  I wanted to see how much money he was going to ask for.  The call declined so quickly to him using profanity that I hung up.

I never answer these calls and I didn't answer this one, either.  I do appreciate what has been reported, here, however.  It allows me to know that I've done the right thing by NOT responding to these interminable calls trying to scam poor unsuspecting idiots who DO answer the phone.  Not that all are idiots; I get that, but if they get you to answer the phone, they feel some measure of success.  I try not to give them the satisfaction.  This number called me on 11/25/15, at 3:26PM, EST with a CID of Baton Rouge, LA.  No message, and they haven't called since.

Accented woman calling from 'Windows Tech Dept.' saying I had downloaded bad files from the Internet.  "Not likely" says I, "Oh no you don't understand" she shrills into the phone.  She tries to launch into her scam spiel about viruses etc. and just got louder when I tried to cut her off.  Finally I just said "Get a real job!" and hung up.  Idiots...
    • Caller: None, it's a scam.

Called...asked  me to turn on my computer so they could refund 149.00. Asked to talk to their supervisor and they transferred me. I asked what their number was so I could call back. Googled it while on the phone with them and it was a number for a pharmacy in a different state. They hung up once I asked if they were a pharmacy.
