Got a call tonight from this number. Caller ID: V09281855410031. I returned the call and was connected to voice mail for the "Community Clothing Centre", another charity that does used clothing collection. Press 1 to be removed from their call list. But that just forwarded me to an extension and another message stating that the office was now closed for the day.

Looking for Cothing donations in Kitchener-Waterloo.  Told them no thanks.

Calling them now Community Clothing pick up, Said press 1 to be removed, pressed 1, waiting...waiting...waiting....13:44pm..wow they must be really busy!..waiting...13:46pm....your call is first in line and will be answer...13:47 answered collecting clothing for homeless shelter, very nice, asked for my  number to take me off list! We shall see!

Nice Panasonic phone allowed me to recall the number, and force a call-block.
Not a bad charity, but as (Jim) above also indicated, WHY? the spoofed ID?
(Didn't Bell Canada just get hit with a $ 1.3M fine by the CRTC!)

They left a message on my answering machine saying that my chance to get a lower interest rate is about to expire... sounds like a big time scam to me, didn't even say what credit card it was for and what company.. very generic... press 1 to get the lower rate.  BOGUS!

This is not a legitimate organization - they sell the clothing for salvage profit - get my name off their list ..this is or should be illegal.

message garbled...only half there.  Don't know who or why we are being called.  Have received 4 calls over the last few days with same half message.  this is getting really annoying.

Representative on the phone told me that she was a volunteer, and that this was a non-profit organization.  It took her ten minutes to get me a charity registration number.  It didn't register when it was looked up.

It doesn't seem legitimate to me.

This is a legitimate organization. Web site www.communityclothingcentre.org There are 4 FREE clothing centres in Ontario. Clothing is given free to those in need in the community. Charity Registration # 897255600RR0001 part of For Those In Need National Network community programs. If you call the number they will gladly take you off the list.

Please see reply to mad as heck. If people would take the time to do some research, there are some really good charities out there that help the community.

Since I worked in a call centre I know that the reason for this V# is because it is a dialer, for those not knowing what that is - its a machine that dials numbers for you. Therefore is has no name to attach to it. What did we ever do before caller id??

I receive numerious calls from this number although we are on the do not call list.  What do they not understand!  DO NOT CALL!

Yeah I understand that non-profits are exempt from the do not call list - though I disagree with the exemption... but when they call repeatedly on the same day it is harassment. There should be some form of limitation or governance on how non-profits are allowed to call as well.
IE once they call you, you should still be able to tell them to buzz off permanently.

They are a legit organization doing good work. I prefer to donate my used stuff locally and just ignore these calls.
