Woman was incredibly ignorant - says her name is Sarah Smith of national recovery corp. Would not help me to guarantee some information she had first so that I could prove she wasn't a scam.

The same woman, "Sarah" was not willing to verify the name of the company so I could confirm it wasn't a scam,.. She called me on my work phone number asking me to verify my mailing address information and the person in charge of payroll. She was surprisingly aggressive when I refused to give her any information.

The exact same number called my mom and the same person was on the other line, she said she was from the National Research Council (which is an actual organization). She wanted to confirm her address and started by asking if the address she had was her address. Obviously she had the completely wrong address, baiting my mother into giving her actual address.
I googled the actual contact info of the NRC and it's a 613 number located in Ottawa.
My guess is that this a scam and it's to do with identity theft.

Left a message saying that [Name of Debtor] should return the call, at the number.  This company seems to be too cheap to give out a 1-800 number for callback purposes, and I intentionally have my phone set up to only dial out local calls and 800 numbers only.

I've received two calls now from "Sarah". She left messages on my answering machine both times. The one this morning was very threatening, about how I " needed to call her before it was too late."

She never said her last name, only Sarah. And she never said my last name either. Also, she just said she was calling from NRC, but didn't specify what that was.

The same person called me and started to verify some confidential information. Her voice sounds like it is definitely a scam.

Sarah called my workplace several times and nearly resulted in me losing my job. Aggressive collector claiming a debt to a company I have never used services from. Way to go, Sarah!

Dont know who she is or even know how she got my old work number but my friend messaged me day that a sarah smith was calling and asking for me

Aggressive debt collector for someone who doesn't live here trying to pry info.

Called and wanted me to verify who I was !! Asked who was asking and she said " I am the one asking questions here "  so I laughed at her and hung up the phone. Not about to give out my info if they wont give theres!!!!

Called asking for someone who works within business, says it is an urgent matter and needs to speak with him immediately. I highly doubt this after reading this forum.

This Rude woman calls our house asking for information of one of my grown sons and threatens to keep calling and call every hour .
I told her I had no information and if she continues to call my house I will get the police involved in her harassing phone calls

This person Sarah calls me non stop anywhere from 10-20 calls a day weekdays and weekends starting at 6 am and not finishing till sometime 10 pm this is insane! Who has the time honestly!

This Sarah Smith lady called my phone asking for my mother. When I asked her what it was in reference too she said "that is classified and I have to have your mothers permission to share that" which is reasonable. When I said to remove my phone number because I am not involved she said "I am not going to do that until your mother calls me back" So I laughed and told her I was going to block her number and hung up.

Do not trust this lady, shes incredibly rude and doesn't verify who she works for or anything

This woman Sarah Smith works for a legitimate recovery collection agency.   If you have a credit card debt that was sent to collections this might be the woman who you talk to to set up payment arangements.

Sarah called looking for my adult son, Said she had good news for him and needed contact immediately. Told her he no longer lives with me and have not had contact. She insist it is good news I took message from her for my son to cal 1 226 765 1264. She said it was NRC, I asked what NRC stands for and she would not tell me. So hence another example of her lies.
