Called claiming to be from Microsoft.  Said that my computer had a virus that needed to be removed.  Caller had a foreign accent.  Even claimed to have the serial number of my computer.  Wanted access to my computer to fix the problem.  Hung up after I insisted that he tell me the name of the company he was calling from and that he tell me how he got my number to call me about my phone.

Just got a called. When I questioned this man about how would malware install itself without downloading ANYTHING or going to a harmful site, he made the statement, if you want my help with this before it is a problem, then sit down, turn on your computer or I'll just hang up. I beat him to the hang up part.

Got a call, told the guy I didn't use Windows computers and called him out for being a scammer. He called me a [***] and then continued to go on for 10 minutes, called back three times. I'm reporting them for fraud. Let them deal with it.
    • Caller: Scammers, probably from India

They called on 10/30 and said they were HP and I had a virus. Immediately knew that was a fake and hung up. Just called this morning saying they were Microsoft and pushed the red button on my phone. Don't fall for "companies" that call you without your request first!!
    • Caller: HP and Microsft

The person that called asked "Is there someone in the household that spoke Chinese?"  Evidently he didn't know how to spam in English.  I told him "Then perhaps you shouldn't be spamming in America then."   He hung up.

They try that phony southern drawl on me too.  Never works, sounds like exactly what it is--Hindi speaking person attempting to imitate a southern drawl.  Fools nobody, but is funny to listen to.
