Received a call from this number and nobody said anything from the other end.  Waited because I though it was a recorded message and still no response.  I attempted to call this number back and it said to check the number for errors or it is no longer in service.  Go figure!!

Received a call @ 18:25 on 6-27-2011 from someone representing a security service.  We are on many don't call lists and are not interested in getting anymore unwanted calls. Sounded suspicious to me. When I called the number back, the message was 37-3 number called is invalid.

someone call me from this number and when i call it back it said that the number is no longer in services.

My cell wouldn't even connect to this number, and it only does that if it's a "spam" number.

We also waited to see if it was a cell having trouble witht he connection but there was no one there.  We tried to call the number as well and got the same error message.

received 6 phone calls in two days from this number . when i try to call the number back it is a verizon recording saying i have reached a number that has been disconnected or no longer in service.i have called my phone company and they have instructed me on how to block future calls from this number.

Same thing happened with me. I got a call from this number; and the same thing happened...no one said anything, and yet when I tried to call it back...got the same recording...this has happened several times...

Same here. They have called twice that I know of, can't return the call. I asked the man where he was calling from, (there was a lot of noise in the background) . He said "Florida". I asked him why couldn't I call the number back he replied "I don't know, ma'm" very suspicious sounding to me. I think they are checking to see who doesn't have a security system to locate the residence. These need reporting. I was able to block the number with my phone block. I would think if their number comes through, why can't it be redialed..???

Received a call from this number on July 5, 2011 @ 7:17 PM. The caller was a man, lots of background noise. He said he was with a home security company and that it was a call to promote their home security system. I asked him where he was calling from and he replied "Florida" (which the above info states GA) My husband said it was GA because it was a 229 area code. Anyway, I told him that we had a system and had already received one of these calls. I asked him why couldn't I redial this number and he replied "I don't know.". He hung up the phone. Very annoying to get these. We are on the registered "Do Not Call" lists! Would like to know what they are up to.

Had 4 phone calls from this 229 478 6667 number today.  Same complaint everyone else has.  No one answers.  Caller ID doesn't identify the caller.  But my missed calls listed the number.  I called the number 2x and got  "no longer in service" bit.  I let calls 3 and 4 go through to answering machine.  No message left there either.    I've reported this to my state's "do not call" people.

Same complaint as everyone else. This is a normal number for me because I live in GA; however when I answered no one said anything. I tried to call the number from my cell phone, but it would not go through. ????

Got a call from (229) 478-6667 and the was a delay. I waited and someone came on asking about security systems (very noisy in background). I asked how he got my number and he said from an auto dialer. I told him this numer is on the do not call list and he got bligerent asking me "Hows that working out for you". I replied "apparently not to well since you are calling me". He then said I need to call the "companies" to make them do their jobs. I then said "DO NOT CALL THIS NUMBER AGAIN!" and told him I didn't appreciate his beligerent tone. I then hung up.

I just got a call from this number and I heard someone on the other end but it had a lot of static on the line, I did hear how are you, and I said fine but it sounds like I am ordering at McDonalds cause I can hardly hear you, and they hung up LOL

SO they called my mom and scared her a little. Im waiting till they call back and im going to tell them we already have a security system.. its called S&W. Smith and Wesson!

This number calls and never says anything. When I try to call back it is an invalid number

An invalid number means the number on your CallerID is spoofed http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caller_ID_spoofing 
The caller should be treated as hostile.

Same Thing happened here.  I also told them I  was load and cocked, they were supose to come today 7/16/11 and put in a wireless system at 10 this morning..no show so far.. They didn't even ask for my address or name they already had it.. Can't wait for them to show up and try something, we're ready..   The police are on standby.  How can someone call from a number that is invalid? something is wong with the phone services for that to happen.

Someone needs to stop these people from calling, Claimed they were GE/Vision Home Security, well I can't fine this company anywhere.. can't find the phone number or redial it is not a valid number,someone is out to get hurt if they show up and not lagite.. JUST SAYING!!! This needs to be stopped.

THIS IS A SCAM TO SEE IF YOU HAVE A SECURITY SYSTEM IN YOUR HOUSE! They want to put their "special" sign out front. They then come back after a couple of weeks and break into only the houses with their "special" sign because they know you don't really have a security system. ALWAYS tell them you already  have a security system and under active contract!!!

THEY ARE SCOUTING YOU OUT AS A TARGET!
