Called a few times, left no message. All that comes up on caller ID is

"Research Center". I have no idea who they are, don't want to know. I am on the DNC list.

"Research Center" has been calling for approximately a week, sometimes three times a day and as late as 8:45 p.m. Leaves no message and when I answer hangs up. I re-dialed the number and got somebody's voicemail who stated that "she was away from her desk". I left a DNC message. I am on the DNC list. This is becoming borderline harassment.

They keep calling me too. It is a survey organization. Their website is: http://www.mwrcenter.com

Since they are doing surveys, they are probably exempt from the Do Not Call list. I have already told them not to call me, but they keep on calling. I plan to use Selective Call Blocking from my local phone company to get rid of them.

I forgot to add that they represented themselves as "Mountain West Research". Never heard of them.

I found out later that MWR is a "push poll" organization. A push poll is a form of negative campaigning in which a caller will ask a question that links a candidate with what is usually a hypothetical and false statement. Such calls are named push polls because they are designed to push voters away from a candidate and are disguised as a poll. The American Association of Political Consultants has denounced the tactic.

We have received three phone calls in the last two days from: Research Center @ 231 224 2034

The first two calls occurred yesterday. Since our phone # is unlisted, the fact they were calling and asking questions raised all sorts of flags. When I was not cooperative with them, they asked for "the lady of the house." I handed the phone to my wife and suggested she not answer their questions.

She did answer the first two (Are you a registered voter?, Did you vote in the most recent election?), before I suggested she stop answering their questions. She hung the phone up and Research Center immediately called back but we did not answer the phone.

Today, they called back again asking for "the lady of the house." They didn't even know whose name to ask for. I stated that she wasn't home (which was true), and I then asked the caller what organization she was with. She disconnected the call with no reply to my question.

I notice that many people have "out of area" for the phone number. We have Call Block, which will not allow "out of area" phone calls to ring on our end. It blocks them out.

231 224 2034 call came in at 9pm. They did not announce who they were only that they wanted to speak to the man/male of the household. I told them they called a cell phone (which they did).

According to their website http://www.mwrcenter.com all you have to do is email them and tell them that you don't want to be contacted. They also explain that they're not telemarketers and, as such, are exempt from the DNC list. I've just emailed them so I can only hope that tomorrow I don't get 40 more phone calls all day and night.

They call at least three times a day, and sometimes during the evening. Answered and they said, "What do you think of the state of our nation?" We hung up on them and they still call back.

Call from 231-224-2034 last night. It was a prerecorded message that said they were calling about my "credit card account." It went on to say that "everything is okay" and they had a way to lower the interest on my credit cards--- like I care as I never carry balances on credit cards. The recording went on and asked me to "press 1" blah, blah, blah. I am on the DNC registry, but this is not the first time I have been called by these clowns. I don't know who they are, but in my case they were not a survey organization.

FYI to those of you who complain because you are on the DNC list: this doesn not include political campaigns, credit card companies with whom you do business and other companies that buy lists that don't "sell" something.
Also - if you have ever replied to an email promotion and had to submit your name, address and phone #, you are giving permission to use that information about yourself. Be careful.

Phone rang. I answered. Silence. A female voice said "Hell - Good morning", and then the line seeminly went dead. I hung up. I don't normally answer unrecognised numbers, but the caller I.D. said "Research Center" and I was curious to know who was researching what. I won't answer again.

The voice didn't say "Hell - Good morning", it said "HellO - Good morning". Sorry. My error
