Same thing happened to me last night.

Got a call from (231) 331-8697. Didn't recognize it, no caller id, so didn't answer. No message left.

These are telemarketers and they are not in Michigan.  I asked if she lives in Florida why  is a Michigan number showing up She said they use disconnected numbers.  How, I didn't ask hung up.  Oh another thing it showed was SSI, sorry they don't call people.

Called 2x on Sunday. When I said Hello, no one there. Usually these are robo-calls. We are on the no call list. Does not seem to matter.

231-331-8697 with caller ID of SSI called me today.   I didn't answer the call.

Caller ID said SSI - Won't answer these

Got a call from a lady that had not yet mastered the English language ..asked if I was a registered voter ...hung up on her...

I just got the same number call.  No message left

Called my mom's phone.  Caller ID said SSI.  She handed phone to me, I answered, no one there (that answered me).

231-331-8697 is a SCAM -- do NOT answer!

Got a call from this number and it said 'SSI' on the id. Also number 231 745 5603, same 'SSI'.

They call daily and hang up.  When I call back, I get a recording

I got call tonight.  I talked to them and answered some questions.  I was tricked since I was recently involved in a project that was financed by Thrivent.   I refused to give them any personal financial information but I did answer with numbers that said YES a few times.   I fell pretty stupid but I don't think they got anything important.

I answered said, 'hello, this is J... heard a scripted response and hung up. My cell is a 231 number.  I now live in VA with 757 area codes.  I typically only answer numbers from 757, any family and friends with a 231 # are already saved in my phone.
