called three times today never leaving a message on machine.

Do not answer this caller this fool called and claimed he is from Avis and wanted to offer free gas anywhere in the United States when I told him I was not interested he spoke back to me like he was [***]!!!!

This is an obvious scam......They had the last 4 digits of my credit card and the first name of the last order I placed on-line.  When I questioned the caller, he hung up on me.  I called the number back and only get a recording that says this is a courtesy call about an order on my credit card, but if they don't reach me, it will not affect the order.   Then why have they called me 11 times in the last three days?  I left a message that they do not call my number back......we'll see if that works!

Missed three phones calls from this place last night.. Called and got the message that it is a courtesy call about an order and if they do not contact me it will not affect the order.  Very curious as  I have nothing on order...  Called today from work and got the same message..   Sure hope this isnt from buying things off the internet and they dont have more information on me..   How do we get this to stop ??!!

Received a call from 231-337-2140 claiming to give me $120 in free gas with just a low shipping cost of $2.95...I kept telling him that I was not interested and he kept telling me that I was and to hold to talk to his supervisor to verify my information.  I told him that I do not give or verify any info over the phone...he hung up on me.....SCAM !!

Received two calls from this number - second time the guy was a real jerk and wanted to send me a gas card from a recent purchase I made on my credit card - how he got my cell not sure.  When I called the number on office phone, not able to talk to a live person - had option to be put on do not call list - and gave a number to actually call to talk w/ someone and the number is bogus - do not answer these calls.

Keep getting a call from this number every 30 minuts to an hour. I do not answer it because it is a blocked number.

This number calls me just as you said, every half hour to hour.  Been on-going for the last 5 days or so.  I don't answer if I don't recognize and I'm glad I lookd on here.  Thank you all.

2:34 pm - I just got the 1st call.  Couldn't answer, on the other line.  Again no message.  Glad I looked this number up!!

Got the call this morning and missed it. Since the caller ID read ORDERSCONFIM I thought it might have to do with a certain inquiry of an old order I lost and wanted to get back, so the next time they called I picked it up. The man on the other end asked to speak to me (knew my name and my last four credit card digits) and I thought, oh that must be it. But then he said something about "courtesy call" and nothing about my inquiry. (Oh, he also said "not to worry, nothing is wrong with your card" -- hmmmhmm, "YET" he should have added if he'd be honest!)  Meanwhile I wondered about the background noise, it almost sounded like he called from a playground. So when the guy told me I won $120 worth of something (I couldn't hear well, he had a strong accent and the background noise got too loud) and then proceeded with "we need to verify some information, do you still live in..." I was instantly alarmed, thinking to myself "Wow, this is crazy. Does he really think I'm an idiot??", so I told him that I am not giving information over the phone, and laughed. Well, the laugh happened automatically because I was so outraged. How dare he? What a frivolous scam!!!! I wish I could stop him from scamming others. I'm so mad. It's probably a whole scam ring, I just found other numbers online used for the same thing...

I've received 6 calls from this number over the past few days.  Also received one call from a similar number (231) 337-2142.  I haven't answered any calls and they haven't left any messages.  Thanks for everyone who posted info about these calls.  I'm adding the numbers to my "reject" list!!

This caller has called me 8 times so far...how do they get our numbers.  I have now added to my reject list hopefully this will stop it but this is my second time I have had to block bogus numbers.  Thank you all for the posts.

This number has called my phone several times in the past few days. Each time I missed it until just now. I answered and a woman gave me a long spiel about me winning a free $120 gas card for being a preferred customer and ordering something online. She couldn't tell me what I ordered or when, just that it had been in the last 6 to 9 months from the TV or a catalog. I checked all the cards in the house for the last 4 digits of the card that was supposedly used and non of them matched. I told her it didn't match any of my cards and she snapped at me that " due to privacy issues, I can't tell you what or when you ordered anything, " and put her supervisor on the phone, who was also not listening to me. I told him that the last 4 didn't match any of the card in the house and he said that we could update my card information, as though I am really that stupid, obviously I said NO. He said alright then, have a nice day and hung up. They didn't give me the name of their company and all I got was a recording when I called the number back. I am going to investigate this further to see if I get trace the number and find out who this is. Keep posting your responses people so that others get informed. Eventually someone will be able to stop them.

I just did a revers look up and the company name to the number is
   LUCRE, INC.

this is a scam, plain  and simple.  Calller claimed to have my Visa card and when I asked him what Visa card, he wouldn't answer me....when I said that this is most probably a scam, he told me he didn't have to prove anything to me and hung up on me.  Playing their own game will get my number off their list.

I am getting calls from this number also!  They dont leave a message but do continue to call about 2-3 times a day.  Now that I know this is someone working a scam I will answer the phone and tell them where they can put the prizes they are wanting to give away.  Are you guys from OK, that is where I live. In June I filled out a ticket to win a vacation, my info was sold and I had been getting calls from another number and they were telling me that I won the vacation, it was a scam also.  I bet these numbers are linked together.
