Does anyone know who this is?

I'd like to know who there are too, they threaten me with a warrant and jail, and telling me to turn myself in to the sheriff dept.

there was a message on my cell phone from a detective jasmine Bell who called and said they would be issuing out a warrant for my arrest because of fraud and that I should turn myself in to my Sheriff's department or pay them over $1000 to clear the debt I supposedly owe to a cash advance sompany, I have never heard of!  it is a scam.  I called them back and hung up after telling him I won't pay you a dime, I will call my Sheriff's department myself.  I have since blocked them.  They have my work number which I have no idea how they obtained

Mention the call to your employer just in case they try to contact you there (which is illegal). IF you actually did owe money, you would not be warned.  The sheriff would just show up.  You are correct - it is a scam.  Phone calls are NOT an official form of notification.  A written document is necessary.

Clue #1: Debt is civil NOT criminal. If you ever get a call that says you will be arrested over a debt - scam. Every time. How can you be asked to pay money when there has been no due process? As mentioned, always ask for proof of debt in wring. That's US Mail. Not fax, text, or email. US Mail.

Got a call from this Jasmine Bell who said she was going to serve me with a warrant.  I called the company number she gave me which was 202-524-8834.  I spoke with an Arthur King who told me the warrant for me would be issued by the end of the day today for a payday loan from National Cash Advance.  They didn't ask for any type of payment, just told me to turn myself in. and gave me a case number.  I know this has to be a scam, they don't warn you when you are going to be arrested, they just serve the warrant and arrest you.  This has me puzzled as to what they are wanting.....

Regarding my previous post....I called National Cash Advance and was told by their customer service department this is part of a nationwide scam.  She took the names and numbers of the people who called me and documented it in their database.  She also said, defaulting on a payday loan is not criminal offense it is a civil offense. Hope this helps someone else out there.

They called me and left a message.  It's a scam. I just never call back.  

First they called me from our local court house say he was a detective and that by not answering the phone it was an admission of guilt and was giving phony bank information.  He told me to call 231-613-4326 and speak to Meagan???? to get this  expedited.  I did not call Meagan.  Hope this helps.  God bless

Arthur King just left a message for a co-worker on my phone saying A) he was an "investigator" and B) that if she didn't call him by the end of the day he would swear out a warrant. I'm not going to bother to even tell her about it. People like this make their living scaring others into giving money that they either don't owe or quite frankly don't have. I'm not about to tell a 60 year old woman who may or may not owe payday loans that someone is threatening to arrest her. They can not arrest you for owing money, the most they can do is garnish your wages. And yes, if there is a warrant out, they don't warn you.

Received a message from a detective brown stating I had 2 felonies against me for checking account fraud with a payday company. The dectective said I have a chance to pay these immediately and to contact jasmine bell at the number on this site. He then said he would suppena my friends as we'll. and if I did not call him back then it would be an admission of guilt and to just go and turn myself in to the sheriff.

Scam.  Debt is civil, not criminal, so even if you defaulted on a loan, you could not be arrested.  Law enforcement is not in the business of debt collection, so you can see, that's two strikes already for these jokers.  The threat to subpoena your friends is just that - an illegal threat - your debt has nothing whatsoever to do with your friends.  This is another scare tactic designed to get you to pay up without demanding proof of debt/proof the caller has the legal right to collect.  The notion that if you don't call back, you are admitting guilt is just ridiculous.  Again, these are all illegal threats designed to scare and embarrass you, so you'll pay money to the scammer.  

Per the FDCPA, you should not pay ANY caller who refuses to MAIL - do not accept email or fax - or text - proof that you owe a debt and proof that your callers have the legal right to collect said debt.  Refusal to mail this documentation within five days of their initial call is another violation of federal law.  Please do report these yahoos to the FTC, FBI and your state's Attorney General.
