Tried using paypal to pay for items on craigslist even almost had a offical looking paypal email I'm glad I checked with paypal first

Same person is trying to use paypal for selling my motorcycle. The phone number is from Akron Oh. area. I told him cash or cert bank draft ONLY. Awaiting his response.

Had someone message me from that number. For a motorcyle I am selling on craigslist as well.
I told him cash only. He stopped messaging me.

He just tried getting me on my car ad on craigslist. Asked me to send a traveler's fee that would be "returned". Ridiculous.

Same number, Add on craigslist about my car. Wants my email due to him not being able to text during work. SCAM!!!

Same number, just responded to my ad for my motorcycle.  Claimed he was serving our country, and wanted it for his sion.  I told them, cash when picked up locally.

Same thing happen to us today . It was a $5100.00 item . Beware

Called himself Blake.  Used blakechard4christ@gmail.com tried the usual craigslist/paypal scam.  Too stupid to use a clean phone number or email.  What a low life jerk.  I hope he rots for all eternity.

If it's not an face-to-face cash transaction, I pass.  I even specify in my Craigslist listings "local inquiries only please".  That basically tells the scammers "don't even bother", and it works pretty well.

Exactly! Craigslist & Kijiji are social media selling sites. It isn't eBay. You have a lamp, couch, dogs playing poker painting, etc. If you're selling a car or bike, who buys such a thing sight unseen? The same is true with a dining room table. It's local, in person, cash. If you put an ad on Craigslist & hear the words 'Paypal', well, you get the idea.

Regarding an item I have posted for sale on Craigslist

I GOT THE SAME THING!! Same e-mail, same woman! I was selling on CL and got a text from Cameron, who had poor English and told me to e-mail his mother. This Anita wanted my physical address (for confirmation with the delivery man), cell number, and PayPal addres since she wanted to pay with PayPal. I got a confirmation e-mail from what looked like PayPal with a "payment" of $290 to me and the 200 was to be paid to Westwrn Union. There was no money in my actual PayPal, so I deleted the scam e-mails.

Got a cell phone message from "Matt" supposed to be Anita Dillman's son.  Told me to email her if my vehicle was still available .  She, probably a he, emailed me that she would pay through paypal and her phone doesn't work because she is in the military, blah blah blah.  Matts phone number on my phone was listed as 7025123037 and said he was in Vegas.  Hope someone catches up with these thieves soon.

They call me and never respond when I answer.

Noticed a scamer(?), used  the same number to call me... 234-206-8381. Goes by HAROLD, wanted me to send him a money card( I can’t think of the word)..,. Said he was on a  petroleum oil she up and needed it to make phone calls to get maps .
