called my cell- answered and no one responded on the other end...

called my cell, no response when answered.

10 minutes ago, a number 234-500-8532 called me.  not recognized.  

Called my cell, I didn't answer.  I don't know anyone in this area code.

Called my cell phone.  No message.

Call my cell. Don't know anyone in Ohio so I didn't answer. It is a Verizon cell number. They left no voicemail. When I called it back it says the Verizon customer is not available and voicemail ins not available.

Just like all the previous posts:  I got a call from this number on my cell.  I checked the area code and found it's Ohio.  I live in Minnesota but just returned from a road trip that took me through Ohio, so I called the number back and got the automated message saying "this Verizon wireless customer is not available."  Given so many other folks are getting pinged the same way, I'm assuming it's some kind of scam/spam operation.

How do telemarketers get my cell number?  I never give it out.

They aren't necessary targeting YOU.

They know what area codes are available. This is not a big secret.

They also know what prefixes are valid in your area code - not a big secret.

Then they can sequence from 0000 to 9999 with an automatic dialer.

Simple.

This number called my cell and when I picked up, no one was on the line. I called it back and a message said the Verizon customer is not available. Probably a phishing scam.

I hope it is not like talking angilia were kids get kid napped if it is ill swear to god and that is holy i will worn every body i know and then call back leaving a way to hack my phone and and wait till he or she come they wont know what hit em

The auto-message said 'This is Rachel from Credit Card Services. There is nothing wrong with your account. It is urgent that you call to get a lower interest rate on your credit card." Blocked the # and hung up.

Recieved call with no one on the line.  did not call back because I do not know anyone in Ohio

Called my cell.  Recorded message about lowering interest rate on credit card.

Called my cell.  No response when I answered!

I didn't recognize this number, so I didn't answer.

Called my cell.  It was an automatic message about "my credit card account" and they wanted me to call them back to talk about my interest rate.  They did not say what company or anything.  Clearly a scam.
