No one there when I answered.

Keeps calling and when I finally answered it was a political survey.  Told them to take my name off the call list.

Automated survey that kept calling till I took it.  What is the point of a no-call list if annoying political surveys can call you.    

They call multiple times every day.

Multiple calls today and this week.

Please tell this company not to call our home ever again, We have reported them on the DO NOT CALL LIST but they still call.

Political calls are exempt from the DNC list provisions.

The DNC list is not a magic switch attached to your phone line, that will block calls.

The DNC list is intended to help stop calls originating from legitimate telemarketers.
* Your calls were not from legitimate telemarketers.
* Therefore, the DNC list will not stop those calls.

The DNC list does not automatically block calls.  Instead, it provides a list of  "do not call" phone numbers to legitimate, registered telemarketers who pay a fee for the list.

The DNC list exempts political callers, survey organizations,  charities, and companies with preexisting business relationships, as well as debt collectors, but these organizations might have their own, internal Do Not Call list (ask them).

The DNC list is not effective against criminals, spammers and scammers, because those people do not subscribe to the DNC list, and do not care if you are on or off that list.
Its purpose is to stop calls from legitimate telemarketers, and it does a pretty good job at that.  Just think ... if there were no DNC, you would be receiving incessant calls from BOTH legitimate and spamming telemarketers!

If you receive calls even after reporting them (and waiting a sufficient time), then you should consider using a call blocker app, device or service as your first line of defense.  Google "call blocker" to see such things at Amazon or other sites.

They keep calling multiple times a day and they are calling almost every day. It's really annoying!

This is not an Ohio area code, so the calls are not from  Akron, Canton or Youngstown.

I had this phone number call two days on the hour for 4 hours. So I finally answered it and they ask for my husband(his name). I told them they have the wrong phone number, and no more calls.

This phone number called me and the woman quickly said their company name and continued talking. I interrupted her and asked that she repeat the name. Again I wasn't sure I was hearing her correctly so I asked that she spell the company name.  That's when she told me to have a nice day and she hung up.  I haven't received another another call from them.  It sure sounded like she said the company name was Metrophobic (??) Research Group.  The definition of Metrophobic is a fear or hatred of poetry. So I doubt that is the correct name. Ha!

Getting calls from this number 2-3 times a day. You're telling me that it's OK to be phone-bombed by a so-called 'survey' that's clearly trying damage control for the up-coming election and not any real information. It's typical of our current communist government to allow this abuse.

They only respond if a male answers the phone. They've called 30 times in the last 2 weeks. I finally answered and they said they would stop calling me if I answered their questions. Just got tires of the phone ringing every 4 hours every day and "Akron, Ohio" showing up on called ID. They said they were calling from "vitae vie research group"?

Automated voice left a message on our answering machine asking for my husband by first name.  "If you are [his name] press one.  If you are not [his name] press two" or some such nonsense.

Sorry to say, political calls are exempt from the Do Not Call Registry.

234 is a legit area code for Canton, Ohio

yes, same here.  My name inserted into a computer generated message, telling me to push 1 if this was me.  I didn't push anything but delete.   They keep calling, but I never answer.

Keeps calling and hangs up when I anwser!
