rec'd call on Sunday  From Florida troopers association looking for donations. I asked why they bother people on Sunday and hung up.  SCAM

Listed as "Unbound 12423".  Didn't answer.

Do not call my number. I am on the Do Not Call List!

Just received a call from this number. It showed Dish Network TV. They said they were from Florida Troopers Assoc of some sort. When the supervisor came on "at least 10%" goes to the organization and that they were paid "fundraisers". My suggestion is give $10 directly to PBA.

Telemarketers have a side business.  When you answer, whether you buy/contribute or not they sell your number to other Telemarketers because you indirectly told them your number is a valid number to call.  Write/email your Senator or Congressman to make it easier to stop scams and Telemarketers.  For example if the caller fails to provide a valid ID and a number you can verify they are fined $250,000.00 each instance if you at least have a answering machine to record that they called and when they called.  If they do not honor the Do Not Call List and they do not provide valid ID info the fine is double otherwise it is a $250,000.00 fine.  If you do the research then you get a 10% reward upon conviction.

I got the same call waking me up Saturday morning 7/5/14 at 9:00 AM.  I normally do not answer these types of calls when I see the "unknown" Caller ID, but he woke me up and was not quite awake, that's my fault.  I recognized the voice right away saying he was from the "Florida Highway Patrol Benevolence Fund" and asking for donations. That seem funny when I then put my glasses on and noted the caller ID saying "Dish Net TV."  I told him that I am on the "Do Not Call" list and he got mouthy with me. So I told him that I was reporting this.  I reported it first to the FHP and they said they could not do anything about it, even though I gave them the call back number. So I reported it today 7/7/14 to the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.  Being that my "Do Not Call" does not take affect until Oct. 1st. (that's nice) they really could not help me. But my National Do Not Call has taken affect and so they connected me to the FCC (Or FCC.GOV on your computer.) and they took all the info from me. We'll see what happens now.
