Called and said they were the Chamber of Commerce (not a local) number, had the name of my business and asked if it was correct, had our address and asked if it was correct, had our number of employees and asked if it was correct then hung up.

Same here.  Confirming company information and then hung up.. No thank you~!
They did not say who they were.  Caller ID Fort Myers.

Yea Ft. Myers (Chamber of Commerce etc...) same thing, she spoke with the lowest creepy voice i ever heard.  lol

same here just got a call from a lady asking a lot of question how many employers so I ask who she was she said she was from  chamber of commerce  and hung up.

i just got the same phone call , she asking  a lot of question and hung up .

They call here everyday asking us to update our Google listing. We always hang up because they call no matter what you tell them.

Received a phone call from this number as well today.  Asked the address and name of the company and continued asking how many employees we had but refused to state what business they were with or their name.

Verified name of business, tried to verify business owner (named old owner) placed caller on hold and they hung up.

They called claiming to be the chamber of commerce, were very unprofessional and hung up once they were placed on hold.

Pretty much the same as everyone else. Claimed to be Chamber of Commerce.  Confirmed Business name, address and number of employees(which they assumed an amount I had last year that was way off).  No information was asked for that wasn't already public record, so I don't get what they are trying to do.  Weird phone etiquette too.

If they were the Chamber when you googled the number you would have seen the chamber come up.
The chamber would have Chamber in the caller ID.
Scammer putting together a list of business that he can sell off to other scammers.

They just called again. Called back on a different number. Spam number. Blocked

Chamber of Commerce of America.  Told her to Google the number she is calling from and see all of the negative posts.  This phone number is from Collier County, Florida and I wouldn't give her any information and asked she to remove my number from her calling list.  Chamber of Commerce of America has a 800 #.  Now reporting number to Do-Not-Call-Registry.

Same here, they confirmed address and owners name and spelling, before the spelling was confirmed she hung up, they wouldn't let us know who they actually were and when we called the number back it would hang up on us.

Called for my address and hung up. I have very little tolerance for rudeness!!

Received call from "The Chamber of Commerce" wanting updated info... Tried calling back but only 3 beeps and then disconnect...

Called to verify my business name and address. When I asked why, she said "Chamber of Commerce updating records" I comfirmed the address and my name as a business owner. When I mentioned that I had just received the same call from the real chamber ladt week, she very quickly apologized and hung up. When I call the number back, it beeps three times and goes silent. I'm in Pinellas county and it was from a Collier County area code, which madee suspicious. Wish I hadn't confirmed and given my name.

Asked for address of business and who the owner was first and last name told her I'm not allowed to give her that info,then she proceeded to tell me how many employees we have from previous yr and is that right.Told her again not allowed to give that info. Asked what this pertains to and she hung up.

Same thing here a man called wanting to know my business address and my first and last name. When I asked may I ask why he just said its for the Chamber of Commerce and hung up. I tried to call back 3 times but it just hangs up. So not cool.

same just happened. I called back when she hang up and it doesn't even ring! It is unbelievable the number of unwanted call and scams we can receive. I just wonder what do they do with those info though?
