We've had several calls from this so-called credit card services number.  How can we find out who they are and get them to stop?

The number is likely being "spoofed," i.e., that's not the number actually calling you, the scammers/telemarketers are tricking caller ID into thinking that is their phone number (which, in and of itself, is a violation of federal law).  But, for what it's worth, here's the information on the company that actually has that phone number:

AA DISTRIBUTORS, INC. is a company categorized under Computer Integrated Systems Design.
Address:  8595 MANSFIELD CT Gaithersburg, Maryland, United States, 21769
    Phone Number:  +1 (240) 000-0000

I have had several calls from this number and finally answered one; it was a recording about changes in credit card interest rates. Very irritating!

Received call from 240-000-0000.  When a male voice tried to sell me I explained I did not want his product (based on the phone number).  He rudely asked me (in a thick accent) if I even knew what a credit card was.  I explained yes, I did, and he didn't need to be rude.  He followed with a "[***] off" phrase.  Unprofessional, unnecessary.

Just got a call. I hung up on them and I'll make a report to the FCC since my numbers on the do not call list. It only takes 3 mins, I recommend everyone else do the same when you get calls like these. Here's the link:

They called with same 'credit card services' scam (indian sounding accent, he didn't understand me at first) and though I told them it was no longer a phone number held by previous person (work cell), they asked for My name. Then, asked if I have an iphone or a Samsung. I told them they could ask someone else that question, to just take me off their call lists. He said, ok, if you cannot help me, I cannot help you'. That's when I said I was reporting them, and I am on the national 'do not call' registry and that I was going to file a complaint against them. He said they would charge my account 10$. I hung up on him. I worried that they might charge my employer somehow and this might be one of those scam numbers that costs a lot of money if you even dial it. How is it possible this day and age that this is allowed or even possible (these scam artists)?!

8595 Mansfield Ct is not an address in Gaithersburg, MD. Nor is 21769 a zip code there. Both do, however, exist in Middletown, MD -- which is north of Gaithersburg.

It just called me. When I picked up no one answered.
I started to not answer because it isn't a logical number. 000 is not an exchange in Anne Arundel County.
