I googled this number and it came up as two different flower delivery places in the Frederick, MD area.  I then called it back to find out what they wanted, knowing that I had not ordered flowers (wanted to make sure someone was not sending them to my wife lol!) and it was the Fraternal Order of Police telemarketers trying to solicit money!! Does the DNC list not pertain to them?? This is ridiculous!!

It is amazing that the Fraternal Order of Police will call under cover of "Unknown Name" on caller ID to get money.
They would get more mileage stating their real ID up front - like when they ask for your ID.

Same thing with me.

Sadly, nonprofits are not subject to DNC.

Sadly, these "fund raisers" are usually private companies that keep a large percentage of donations for operating expenses ( up to 90 percent in some cases). Pretty much a scam.

Rec'd call today.  I have asked these people repeatedly to remove my info from their list.  Never happens.  There ought to bea law against this.  These people have nothing to do the state police.

Yep...bothering me again today.  Even on a Sunday they disrupt my peace.  Oh well, another number now blocked on my call blocker.  It's getting quieter and quieter around here........

They keep calling on my unpublished line.  The FoP is just about the only junk call I get on that line, and it must be because the cops have access to unpublished numbers.  They called two weeks ago, and I told them not to call me anymore, but they called again last night anyway.  The Caller ID said "out of area," even though I live in the 240 area code.  That happened the last time, too.  Fundraising is (unfortunately) exempt from DNC restrictions, but I don't see why fundraisers are permitted to use a false Caller ID.

First call from this number today. Didn't leave a message but the number fits in with the FOP scammers.

Received a call today from "Unavailable 240-207-4159" on 10/15/2014 at 6:59 PM and as usual, no VM was left.
Another phone number I think they are using is "Unavailable  240-670-4099" as this particular phone number called here twice tonight back -to- back at 6:39 PM & 7:10 PM immediately after the first phone call came in and its from the same area (Aspen Hill, Bestheda, Frederick) of Maryland as the other phone number is. Since I don't answer my phone from numbers that I don't recognize..... When will these idiots give up?

It's the Fraternal Order of Police. If they were the last charity left on Earth and they were all starving, I still wouldn't give those leeches a dime.

Called at  7:05 this evening for the second time today and left a message saying : "Hello, Hello, Oh there is no message, I'll just call back later,  I never answer the phone when caller ID states UNKNOWN.  i HAVE TOLD THEM BEFORE TO REMOVE MY NUMBER FROM THEIR LIST.. ha ha ha,,,,,,I SEE  THEY STILL USE THE NUMBER

They never leave a message (FOP) and they seem to have an endless supply of numbers they use. How can that be? Someone here sometime ago posted their list of known FOP number which was about 15 numbers not including the one I was reporting. All were put into my block list, yet they keep coming. Since the Telcos "won't" implement unlimited call blocking service (mine Vz & Comcast only allow 10 numbers to be blocked and the FOP has at least 16 numbers they use that I'm aware of), it's great that there are some good free & low cost phone systems available to setup on our computers to do the job.

show a bunch of them if you need one. USB voice/data/fax modems can be had for under $20. Mine only cost $14 and works perfectly.

We have received a call from this number numerous times and wish it to stop.

Another call from Unavailable 240-207-3159 at 3:54 PM. I guess they will never give up as long as I don't answer my phone.

The DNCR does not block numbers. That is what a calling blocking device is for.

Not only is it not a call blocker, but Charities are exempt from the DNC along with Political and some survey's.  Consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or less.
