Phone rang 2 times, I didn't answer, didn't leave a message.  Call came from 240-252-7125

Received call from this number. The guy started in with some story about disabled veterans needing money. As a disabled vet myself, I told him that even though the VA is slow, there is plenty of help for us vets. Once I stated this to him, he agreed and hung up the phone. Don't give them a penny!

Got a call at 9:29am and didn't answer. Assumed it was a scam.

Nobody on the other end.

10/18/14 5:50 PM. Received Call didn't answer, no message.

I answered this call because I've been getting so many from the 240 area code that I don't answer.  They seem to always have a bogus name -- "Unknown name".  It's the Rockville, Maryland area -- man (no distinct accent) was asking for cash to Disabled American Veterans.  Asked to send me a sign up kit for monthly donations.  When I said no he requested  "for those of limited funds who would still want to donate to a veteran sick in a hospital bed for care packages, etc., would you be willing to donate $15 or $20?"  I again said "NO".  I donate to my local DAV and have for many years.  

Another day, another cryptic caller id, another hang up with no message, and another number to OOMA blacklist.

Been getting calls daily- doesn't leave message. Caller ID shows 'unknown caller' and 'out of area'.

I've been getting these calls for a few weeks now even though I'm on the do not call list. Caller ID says Gaithersburg MD. I just don't answer.

The Do Not Call list does not cover solicitation calls for charities.

Got another call from these guys. This time they changed the caller ID to just Gaithersburg MD....
Still didn't answer.

If anyone wants to give to a real charity or non-profit it's best to do the research and look up the info on how to contribute.
Big thing is to make sure they're registered with your state and the IRS as a non-profit also.

I would never give to anyone cold calling me - EVER.

I received call yesterday , I have also rcvd this call back last January too.
there is a scammer that follows you 'after' you've gone to a dating site.   I don't anymore.  Its a black man in Malaysia. . That prays on weak and lonely hearts.   If you "intaginize him" it will get worse.
here is a tip.... DONT LEAVE ANY PASSWORDS SAVED ON YOUR COMPUTER.   Hes been in my bank accts,  Facebook,  my email accounts.   Wrecked my friend's phone (that he's tapped into ) .

They've changed the caller ID again, just a scam, ignore them.

2 cents: You will need to start over unless your a gluten for punishment. change your computer and your web address. have a technician like geek squad or another company to clean, remove pictures for transfer to your new computer. I hope this helps, you Deb. It happened to me too. your right don't leave anything automatic on your computer.... wish you well.
