SCAM! Indian guy offering air duct suction cleaning on large home,  inspection of HVAC and dryer vent - all for $59!  When questioned,  he said company was Home Services Maryland (not on google), gave fake address in Silver Spring, and company phone 240-249-5219, which traces to Teleport Communications in Mechanicsville, MD.  (BEWARE: Bad duct cleaning can contaminate your entire house with dust and mold, cost you plenty, and make you very sick!  Pay a reputable company!)

Received phone call from 240-318-1607 with the odd ID code of V60909491200062. The person calls me by name and starts speaking about Air Duct cleaning and other household services. When I asked how he got my number as I did not request such services, he states vaguely that they are just calling homes. I asked to be taken off his list.

Called today and did not leave a message. ..The caller id says ' Cleaning Servic'

Did not answer, blocked number.

When I answered the phone, unfortunately it was my cell phone, I identified myself and they asked to speak to the homeowner.  I said "no, may I ask who is calling."  They said "no you may not."  So I told them "then get off my line and take me off their list." Obviously, a telemarketer, who won't identify themselves.  Seriously, you going to call my cell phone and not tell me who you are, really.

This caller comes up in Caller ID as "Cleaning Services."  I have no idea what they sell or allegedly sell.  They are WORSE than annoying, calling FREQUENTLY.  They have ZERO understanding of (or, more likely, have ZERO desire to obey the) "Do Not Call" list.

IF you pick up the phone, as soon as they hear you are not interested in buying whatever they are selling, they HANG UP.  You are not even given half a chance to ask to be removed from their call list.

I WISH I could send an electrical spike to their phone system and FRY it.

Modern technology has given telescammers the tools to call you.
Since those telescammers are criminals, they ignore both the Do Not Call list and any request you might make.
Modern technology can also protect you, if YOU do a few simple things!
The first thing to do is to get a call blocker device, service or app.
Then, use it correctly.

If you cannot afford or use such a tool, then:
* Do not answer calls from unknown numbers ... let them go to voicemail or answering service
* Do NOT return calls from unknown numbers!  All that does is verify your phone number!  And, in some cases, those return calls may cost $20 or more to complete.
* If you have a "dumb" cell phone, assign the scammer's number to a group named "scammers" (or similar).  Then, assign a silent ringtone to that group.

They called my unlisted line.  Came in as Cleaning Service.  No message.

Everybody should listen to Slim up there.  Don't answer unknown calls, and ESPECIALLY don't call back the numbers to complain.  It will do you no good and may do you considerable harm.

Called 06/23/14 @ 7:25 pm, previously called and left no message.  I am blocking them with my Panasonic phone.

Got a call from this number today ...said 'Cleaning Service'. Darn you Verizon ... I need more than 10 numbers to block! There are just too many telemarking callers out there!

Another jerk who calls during the workday and when you answer, does not speak, then hangs up. Just wants to keep you from working.

Called today. Didn't answer. Wish these jerks would stop calling.

Third time I told them do not call!

Repeatedly asked the not to call report to FCC as unwanted calls and I have non pub phone line and a disabled handicapped elderly person, they keep on calling,

Keep getting calls from this number. They are not a cleaning service at all. I have blocked them.

They called on my listed line this time, but the Caller ID name came up blank.  (The number itself showed up.)  I've seen that kind of thing happening more and more often recently.  Beware!

When I picked up the phone I kept saying huh in a whiny voice. Kept them going for a good 3 minutes!

Just called, listed as "Duct Pros". When will these annoying calls stop? Washington's greatest joke on the American public, the "Do Not Call" list!
