Spam call.  Said they have been trying very hard to reach me.  Sure.  Something about my google plus account.

Same thing as Eric. Automated message named "Kate" saying I should link my business Google Plus listing so people can find me.

Very weird because the message actually sounds legitimate but it came from a number local to my business. Press 1 to speak to a representative

At the end it gave me an option to remove myself from the listing by pressing 2, which I did and it hung up immediately.

No idea.

Didn't pick up the call and the VM had nothing in it...

This call origin is spam/telemarket.  Time for me to trade-in on a different number.  I've been getting a few every day, increasing number of unrecognized numbers.

No, not really.
Your "new" number will be somebody else's old number ... perhaps with even more scam calls.
Get a call blocker, and learn how to use it!

This is a spam call, pretending to represent Google and other companies. They will only speak with the business owner to try and make a quick sell, then will run away with your money.  They are NOT who they claim to be.

Lead generation company trying to sell leads,. looking for Agents to connect with Buyers My experience has been  ,exposure is great if you do not have any other alternative but the leads are not high revenue generation
