    Caller ID said 'Not Found'.
Picked up & recording already started re a life alert type system.
I am on the Do Not Call registry, so should Not be receiving this sort of marketing call.

Apparently 800 notes does not like the fact that I mentioned the name of the call blocker that my family uses - please see
    "pending moderator approval" above.
    Bizarre............

    waste of time
To some degree - this is almost as much of a waste of time because the information of who the actual caller is far more important than to complain, complain, complain........  The number is bogus and another scam and is most likely nothing to do with the legit entity.  Remember - keep the telemarketer on the phone as long as possible without providing personal information .....

Called but left no message. Must have received 100 calls about life alert type systems in the last few months. I once entered the name of the call blocker brand/model that I use on here, but didn't bother to look later to see if it posted. Julia the moderator needs to use a different photo/graphic with her account because the bat makes it look like she is fussing or angry.  Bet she won't even post this message-ha!

This is a scam. The number is not associated with the real Life Alert.

Called our DNC registered landline on
10/07/2014 @ 05:16 PM from Frederick, MD. No message was left.
I have Blacklisted this number. If this number calls again it will be registered to Caller ID history, but the phone will never ring.
This is the second scam call in 2 days from different states for an alert device. Must mean being 29+ makes you part of the geriatric generation.

I can not believe the scum that called me! Every foul word imaginable came from him and I hung up. He called again and I did not answer and placed a call-block on the number. The number appeared on the caller I.D. as V1008111 followed by the 240-397-5331.

    (240) 397-5331 Robo call recorded 08 October 2014 ("Protect against falls or sudden cardiac arrest...free medical alert alarm..." SCAM)
    Caller ID: "Frederick MD"

    Also called recently from: (586) 231-3657 | (321) 332-6561

Not sure where they found this low class voice over (love the way she can't pronounce 'button'), but a feeble attempt to use scare tactics ("...accident, fall or sudden cardiac arrest...") to push their "free" medical alert system..

Of course they ignore the Federal Do Not Call list, which certainly tells us something about their business ethics, doesn't it?

Here is a transcript of this "free Medical alert" offer:

    [me:] Hello?

[they:] "...in case of a slip and fall accident or sudden cardiac arrest you may not be able to reach your phone to call for help. Don't be another victim lying helplessly on the floor. Get a free medical alert system and help can be reached with a single press of the buh-uhn twenty four hours a day. For your health, safety and peace of mind get your free medical alert system if you act now by pressing 1. Press 5 to be removed but to be protected twenty four hours per day, seven days per week, press 1 now. [7 second pause] "Good bye.".

[At least they didn't say "...laying on the floor..." Gotta give them credit for this, lol.]

I get these calls a few times a day and no one is on the other end.  I suspected the V100815361100470 was something trying to program my router but I guess I am mistaken.  it is just an annoying call.

Time stop these low life bottom of the barrel scum suckers.  Also time that all phone companies devised a technique for all of these types of calls to bounce back right at the dirt bags that make them.

I have received numerous calls from various numbers with the caller ID showing "Life Alert" and "Med Advance". The numbers are: 240-397-5331 from Maryland (Aspen Hill, Bethesda, Frederick) under both Life Alert and Med Advance (call rec'd 16 minutes ago), 321-332-6561 from FL (Melbourne, Orlando, Palm Bay), and 307-316-7473 from WY (Casper, Cheyenne, Gillette).

I just got off the phone with the real Life Alert. They do have offices in any of the locations listed above. The rep assured me that they DO NOT cold call people and will only return calls from people interested in their products. I hope this helps!

The V number is the date followed by the time in  HH:MM:SS in military (24) time from the time zone the call was placed, followed by some other numbers I've never been able to figure out.
The same number would show on Caller ID if you didn't have a router. Your router is for wireless communication (WIFI) to your mobile devices. Or wired communication to your computer. It has nothing to do with your landline phone.

Repeat caller whose number had previously been Blacklisted called on 10/09/2014 @ 06:03 PM from Frederick, MD. The phone was silenced.
The caller hides behind the V number on Caller ID. V numbers change ever second as the time changes.

I've been getting the same “Alert” calls from the numbers you listed. In addition, the pain cream scammers just started calling. These geriatric scams started a few days ago so they're probably all connected. I don't know how we got on the list. Were 29+, but a long way from collecting Social Secuity. Maybe the seniors aren't falling for the scam so they're targeting children and grandchildren to purchase for parents and grandparents.

This isn't even really Life Alert.  On their FB page they state this is a scam.  Just trying to get your info.
