Got a message from the this number stating they were the IRS and this was the final notice that they were filing a lawsuit against me. For more details I should call back.

I just got this same call. It's bs. IRS doesn't operate this way. It's like those phishing emails hoping to sucker in someone who doesn't know any better and getting them to deliver money via wire transfer.

just got it as well to my office direct line, aka "not a number that the IRS has as a contact number for me"

message stated from the IRS and a lawsuit was being filed against me.

They just called my mother. I called them back, knowing it was a scam. I received this call a few months ago. When I called back the number was disconnected. This time I called back and got an answer. I'm calling them non-stop playing along for a while, then telling them I know it's a scam. I've been called a lot of names! The more time I keep them on the phone, the fewer calls they can make to someone else. If you have some spare time you might join in my efforts. - caller: Claimed to be the IRS

"IRS" and had the nerve to say I was on the run and would be in jail by the end of the week if I didn't pay now, lol! IRS has been garnishing my check for years over my real debt and we are on a 1st name basis because of mistakes from my past. So definelty a scam guys.

Just received a "final notice from the irs" which must be crap because I pay taxes and haven't gotten any other notice, which negates the point of a so called $snap notice.

Dave Holmes was BRILLIANT! What a truly incredible way to turn the tables on these con-artist....may we all be so quick when they call again. Because we all know they will.
