It is the fraking leukemia society once again.  I donated money to this charity in the past.  I lost a loved one to this disease.  I have asked them to stop calling me for donations.  Times are tough and I don't have the extra money I did in the past.  High Taxes to blame for this problem.  I wish the do not call list applied to everyone.  I have asked them to stop, but they have like 100 different numbers fishing for money.

Call the number back and Press 1 to be removed from the calling list.
I guess they federally have up to 30 days to remove you, but the message says they will try process the request within a couple days.  I also did this with American Cancer Society and March of Dimes calls.

In most cases, included these calls from the Lukemia Society, you can call back the number and the automated system will allow you to remove your number from their call list. The law allows 30 days for the removal of the number, but in most cases the calls stop within 24 hours, if not immediately. It works.

Some less than reputable systems will tell you to press a specific number, but when you do, it gives a "selection unrecognized" notice, or the call terminates. In these cases try again, selecting a number different than specified in the message. Eventually you'll find the right number, and the removal will occur.

Calling this number back will give you the option to remove your number.  They ask you to press 1 to remove, and then enter your 10-digit phone number to let them know which number to remove.  Then they tell you that, although the law mandates the removal of your number within 30 days, they will make every effort to process your request in the next 24 hours.

They are required to remove you from their calling list when told.

IF YOU ARE NOT REPORTING them - they cannot be fined $16,000

If a third-party telemarketer calls again on behalf of that charity, the telemarketer may be subject to a fine of up to $16,000 .

Your awesome.  I just called back the number and pressed "1", and punched in my 10 digit number.  They say call will stop within 30 days, if not sooner.

Everyone, it works.  Let's hope and see.  I have asked them in the past and they just call from other numbers in different states.  So I may have to do this with like 10 different numbers for several telemarketing charity collectors.  Give locally and often, but never over the phone.  Most companies charge high commission fees to the charities.

Just file an FCC complaint for annoying calls to a residential telephone line, the more complaints the FCC gets for this telephone number, the better the case to investigate and stop the calls! Dah!!!

Leukemia Society called one day & I idiotically agreed to mail pieces out for them. Wish I never had! Since that day, we receive a continual barrage of annoying calls from them at all hours.
    410-968-7971, 434-878-9934, 240-699-8899

If I ever speak with them again I intend to tell them never to contact me again or ask me to do anything since what follows are non-stop calls. 1 call lead to a ridiculous number of annoying calls. They are the REASON for an additional cost to have Caller ID installed. We no longer pick up the phone unless we know who it is.

We sent them money, and asked to be removed from their calling list.   Good thing we have caller ID,

Of course they keep calling us.  We are listed on the DO NOT CALL list, but this does not help us out, for they keep calling.  What are we to do about this.
