this is a magic jack type number that only gets calls back from people they have called. It is being used as a scam. They are part of a fake lottery scheme attacking older people under the name of Global International.

This guy keeps calling me about winning a sweepstakes.  He is weird and I think he is crazy.

called  me around 1am  could barely understand the guy I  said wrong number and hung up,  he immediately  calls  me  back  and I  repeat my self  again also believe  he is tied to this number: 5712017833.

Person on the other line said nothing.  Called like 3 times.  Will report this to the FBI fior them to track the call

got called, pretending to be an employee from next doors grocery store in hopes that i send money for him over the phone and he will come later on break to pay me, obviously i'm not stupid and didn't but should've gotten his info but he got very mad and started cursing so i hung up, male Hispanic(spoke Spanish) reporting to MoneyGram headquarters.

Got a call from 240-706-8754 from a guy pretending to be from Microsoft, who said they had received several messages from my computer indicating that my computer had been hacked. He wanted me to go to my computer and take directions to do something (obviously to hack it themselves) I hanged up. they called again. I did not answer.
Microsoft does not make calls to owners of hacked computers. I filed a complaint at the Federal Trade Commission
1-877-FTC-HELP. I also filed a complaint at the unwanted calls registry for a violation, at 1-888-382-1222.

Got call from a guy saying he is from Turkey who worked for the rug factory where I purchase a turkish rug. Keep calling me since 2008. I reported this to FCC.

got a bizarre call at 2 am. All I heard was what sounded like a call center. Called them back and it said it was a magic jack #. Left a message that I was calling the police.

My cell rang at 9:19pm, 10/23/14.  Caller ID shows 240-706-8754. I did not answer.  Hung up after three rings.  No message.

Got a call saying i had purchased micrsoft soft ware that was curupted and i could get a refund
Put i needed to open my computer - i ended the call and told them not to call.

Same SCAM as one of those above.  Claimed to be from a group I had used for computer support.  Wanted to refund my money but I had to open my on-line banking.  I strung them along and they continued to get more belligerent.  I told them I was not opening anything and they hung up.
