scam call from pretend company called Card Member Services.  automated call.  Calls almost daily. used to give two options:  press 1 for getting your identity stolen (speak to rep) or press 3 to end the calls.   I pressed 3 multiple times.  Now when the call comes in it only says to press 1 to get scammed and then disconnects the call no matter what is pressed.

forgot to add:   i called the number back and it was a voicemail box for 513-240-7202.  that is a local number where i live.  so if the voicemail is correct then this is fraud across state lines.... isn't that a felony? or several?  glad to see the FCC and the Do Not Call list are working perfectly......

Automated call claimed to be from Card Member Services.  Tone of the female voice was similar to "Rachel" calls.  I hung up.

Scam call from someone claiming to be "Card Member Services" I asked the guy what company he was calling from and he cursed me out.

Just got call from this number..didn't not recognize..went to voicemail and just got busy signal. Caller ID showed 240-720-2040 followed by V30113175600559..what the heck is this? Any number I do not know I will not answer. If important or ligit they'll leave a voicemail.

I'm so irritated with these phone calls. I'm on the do not call list.
Is there no way of stopping these unwanted calls?
What are we suppose to do just let these people run us Crazy with their calling all the time.

Called - did not answer - they left no message.  I am on the Do Not Call Registry.

these people keep calling and i told them this is a new number.....the stupid woman said she showed i had an account with them and i said it wasn't me....she hung up.....these people need to get a life

Also glad to see FCC and Do Not Call registry are working!  I checked and I am on it! I know you have to re-registered after so many years.  Getting at least 10 calls a week from this number and others!  Way to go FCC and DO-NOT-CALL!

We also have a new number, and keep getting called from this number. The lady was very rude, and when I asked to be removed from their list, she hung up the phone on me. Our number is also on the Do Not Call registry. So very frustrating!

Received a call from that number on March 1. I called back because the area code is for Maryland in which I applied for a job but it gave some message about the number being for promotions only and to use the number provided by sales rep. Either way it is a scam as always. You can file a complaint on the Do Not Call Registry online and input the number which helps.

Got another scam call with no name on caller ID - I just added it to my blocked call number list

first call for this number to me. it has got to stop!,,, you do everything that they tell you and all that happens is that one number stops calling and it gets youre number forwarded to another and it starts all over again.
It is the people of Congress who are at fault.
they pass a law that was given to them from the very same people who use these calls, they make sure on the surface it looks like the law is written for the working public but it has loop holes in it for the wealthy groups so they can continue to call and harrass and earn money at our exspense. the Congress gets favors and perks for doing what they ask.
what can we all do? write letters to your newspaper, call your reps in the State and the Federal level. call more than once a day, give them some of what they force on us. only they get rewarded!

I use comcast for my phone, if I go online to my account and then to prefrences, I can block up to 12 phone numbers, and also all unknown and private numbers.  They only get through one time, and then I log on and within 2 minutes, stop the call.  I also can do the same with my cell phone through Sprint, except that I can block 99 number and data there.  Try it.

got a call from 240-720-2040 - called back - recorded message ... 'this is promotions number .. try to use the number provided by sales rep'  - same as in other complains.

Why this scam is still continuing inspite of so many complains?

Scammers calling to try and sell their up front fee credit card interest reduction plan.

The number is a non-working number.   This caller is in violation of the FTC's Telemarketing Sales Rules (TSR)

1. Illegal ROBO-CALL
2. No OPT-OUT as required by the TSR
3. Company not properly identified
4. Actual company contact number not given
5. The name they use as the company name on the recording is not a real name/faked/generic
6. Call back number is non-functional - has no opt-out as required by TSR

If YOU get a call from these ROBO-CALL baboons, please file a complaint with the FTC.GOV website if you are on the Do Not Call List.

Got a call on my job from 240-720-2040. It's bad enough that I get a plenty of them at home now at work, somethings got to be done about these people.

Just received a call from this number at my office. Was on the other line so could not answer it. When went to call back gave me a message about I would need to call the number given to me by some rep? And, didn't leave a message or anything?
