# Keeps calling and there is no one there......when you call back it is disconnected

I ordered something from a Canadian pharmacy back in 2009 and continually get calls from call centers in India. I have told them to take my name off the list multiple times to no avail. I've put my number on the do not call registry but that hasn't worked either. I've also put the numbers they call from on my blocked list through my cell phone carrier, but they always seem to find new ones to call from. My latest tactic has been to answer the call and let my phone sit on my desk. I usually don't get a call from the same number after that. However, I still get them from new numbers but they will at least stop for a few weeks.

248-393-2681 on my caller ID is registered under the name Jeninne Hagar; though a young man states that he is from "Windows Support Center", goes on about an error report they received, my computer keeps crashing and are calling me to let me know there is a problem with two wires on my computer." Told him Windows doesn't call their customers, that this is a bogus call. He insisted he was from Windows Clinical Support Center; told him they or even Microsoft doesn't make phone calls to customers. He got flustered, started calling me a f-----g b---h, I said "alright, goodbye", and hung up. He immediately called right back; I let him go to message, he did not leave one. He sounded like he was from India; had called once before asking me "what kind of medication do you take?"...I hung up the phone after telling him "to call me back in about two months." He did!! Calls from this number are a scam as well as a nuisance as he is persistent until you put it to him that you know he's a lie.

That's exactly what they want is for you to call back so now they know someone is living at the place that has your phone number.
Now get ready for a lot more scammers calling you. You have opened the door!

You did just what they wanted you to do.......you called back.
Now they've got you where they want you. They now know someone lives at your phone number.
For future reference, if you do not know the number do not answer and do not call them back.
Google their number and most likely it will bring you here because they have been scamming everyone else too.

received a call from this number asking me to use the "run" command on my computer to check for a CRITICAL virus that has been released.  He asked me to type in EVENTVWR in the run box to help protect my system.  When I asked him who he was he stated he was calling from Windows and was helping people fix there computers.  I hung up on him 3 times before he stopped calling

Same call as everyone else.  This crazy Indian phone scammer kept saying that I had a critical error showing up on windows.  He said he was from the windows support center but couldnt tell me my name or which windows version I had or anything else.  Call said from pontiac michigan.
