- JCNcaller ID "LNP MEGAPOPNET" VAP esystems? This is the computer virus scam...
First "Peter" called. Hung up when I told him I had a Mac but used a Windows keyboard. Then I called them back. An hour later, "Paul" called. When (after 12 minutes), I told him I had a Mac, he got mad and called me a liar and started swearing. Stayed on the line for a few more minutes, though, before hanging up.- Caller: VAP esystems?
- Brenda| 1 replySaid he was from Windows. Something was wrong with my computer, was I the computer owner, etc. I let him do his crap because I'm tired of them calling. Long story short he says he will now walk me through the process, asked if my computer was on. I said oh, no, I don't have a computer. He said when I asked in the beginning of you were the main user you said yes. Why? I said why are you scamming people? He then proceeded to tell me to [***]. Couldn't understand his name.

- KellyQA man with a thick accent said he was calling from the "National Internet Department" and they noticed my computer was sending bad signals to "the international router". I said I wasn't familiar with the National Internet Department and asked where it was located. This apparently wasn't in his scam script, so he simply continued by describing how my computer connects to routers. I asked my question again and this time he simply pretended we had a bad connection and asked if I was still on the line.
I didn't want to play any more, so I hung up. My answering machine had also picked up, so the entire call was recorded.- Caller: CID: LNP MEGAPOPNET
- Nadine replies to ALICEYou are awesome! i'm doing this next time they call.
- AliceofCheshireReceived call from this number with the name LNP MEGAPOPNET. When I answered, I could hear the call center in the background. The woman, with a heavy Indian accent, told me that my MAC computer has a 'wirus". I don't own a MAC so I told her "Sorry, no scam for you here today." and I hung up. It is strange that they are using the same number for this long since they usually change it at least daily if not more often. Blocked.

- Em| 1 replyWell, I continue to get these bogus calls and since call blocking really doesn't work if I don't recognize the number I switch my phone on and than off as quick as I can ...will they get the message ... probably not, because they're way too dense to get that we know these are scams. but in my mind it's a little like playing with these stupid butts... - YvonneHad a little time to kill, so went with it. When I told them I had a Mac, they transferred me to a supervisor. Who got me to open up my Safari browser and type in 'validator', he asked what came up, I told him it said "WARNING: this is a scam site" . He said Scam? I said Yes, like what you are trying to do. We must have had a bad connection, because all of a sudden they were gone!!! HAhahahahahahahahahaha.
- Fred248-530-4490 6/28/2017 This is a scam. It was an imbecile pretending to be from Microsoft. You should feel 100% assured that you are irrelevant to any Dow 30 company (especially Microsoft) and they will never ever call you.

- ElmoCaller ID says Birmingham, MI 248-530-4490. Same experience as many of the above. This is a total idiot scammer pretending that your computer is sending out some message and he's going to help protect against cyber criminals. He won't. Just spews a bunch of lies and tries to steal your money.
