Caller is a charity called "Vehicles for Veterans" asking for cars, real estate, etc
Live caller had a nice voice, and charities have a right to call people on the DNC list so 'No harm-no foul'.
I don't know anything about their charity... I just wanted to inform others who is calling from this number..

Got a call today. I answered. Robo call recording asked about donating cars or property to Vehicles for Veterans. Press 1 to talk to someone about a donation or press 2 to be removed from their call lists. Of course I pressed 2. I know I've gotten calls from them before. CID said Charity Donation.

The problem here is there is no "Vehicles for Veterans" charity! Check out the state of Michigan search for Charities, Public Safety Organizations, and Professional Fundraisers! It's a SCAM

This is a    SCAM   I have ask to be remove from their call list  and guest what they still call,   I have ask for the address where they are located they refuse to give that and just say they will pick-up any donation.    I guest the big thing for SCAMMER is to use the words Veterans.   BE CAREFUL OF THESE SCAMMER.

The BBB has reviewed this charity.  Here is the site with their review.  Although it is not, as many have posted, a scam, it does not give a very high percentage of proceeds to the actual charity.

Far as Im concerned all calls are a scam unless you no the number. who or what lurks behind a number and what they tell you over the phone are two different things. Our private homes have become a bill board for every sifter in this country and abroad. They want to take your money thats all. What a shame we spend time trying to figure out all these sifters, criminals,
and why they call. This charity thing is a bunch of junk to, that they have the right to call you. Bull, 75 percent of them are hiding behind a loop hole which makes them illegal. Again, its time the phone comp. steps in for their customers and take responsibility for all the crime unleashed on their customers. Simply do not answer the phone, you basically no that out of area calls are bogus. need a good congressman or women to take this thing by the horns . or a good lawyer to start sueing
the propiate entity on behalf of the consumer.. And these calls scare older people. my heart goes out to them. some of them don't have a clue to the crime over the phone. Educate older people.

This number called both my parents and me with the same automated message.

Although the caller id listed this number and "CHARITY DONATIO", the recording encouraged a call back to the number 888-237-3555 or a visit to their web site, cars.vet.

Oddly, I couldn't seem to find them on charitynavigator. Hmm.

I guess they don't realize I have a policy that I don't donate over the phone, even to the charities I do support. I tell the latter if they send me something in the mail, I'll be happy to donate.

No one responded but heard background, said hello several times & no one responded.

And they called me again today while I was out.

They encouraged people to call them back at 800-942-1203 or to visit their site kidscars (dot) org. That domain registers to someone purporting to be "The Children's Home" in New Jersey.

Called at 12:30 at night! A call that comes in late always scares you, when I answered, there was no one there. I said hello several times and finally hung up.

They called my house at 1:55 AM! Not the way to get donations and a good way to make  a BAD name for a company!

This number called last night at 12:50 am waking up the household. My wife answered it and nobody said anything on the other end, so she just hung up. I have blocked the call from future calls.

I received a phone call this morning around 2.26 am, in my home number and cell, I try to call back this number, no response

3:45 AM this morning!!!!  I wish I could get my hands on them.

we received a call at 1:50 a.m. this morning. woke us up.  I have now heard that many people are getting the call from Charity Donations...with family away from home, it is frightening...one elderly neighbor is calling the non emergency police number regarding her am call as she was afraid that she is targeted for a break in if didn't answer...also with family away from home, it is scary to think something may have happened when you wake up from a deep sleep...this company needs to be stopped...

These pricks called me at 12:30am (yes, midnight plus 30) . . The only time I normally get calls at that ungodly hour is because some thing happened in family or some friend drunk dials me for a ride home. They really are getting desparate.
