*67 and called it back +caller ID says Michigan Paralyzed Veterans of America

Called here and I didn't answer so tired of these types of calls

Similar to long term Detroit area charity scams taking advantage of elderly with sympathy for veterans or law enforcement.  Several years ago they were detected with a cluster of closely located addresses.  Give them your address or any money and you could receive a number of billings for things you never ordered and do not want.  Also you will receive more calls from similar scams.

248-720-1588...an annoyance call...repeated calls received from this phone number and upon answering this call, you hear nothing on the other end...

I am a veteran and I wish this would stop!

1-248-720-1588 called here today and I didn't pick up the phone. If I don't know the caller, it goes unanswered.But now I see I 'didn't miss nuttin'. Unwanted robocalls are an intrusion into our home, an invasive species to be fought against. I wonder if they are supported by the company that makes the call blocking gizmo that Harry Callahan is advertising above. Nice business model. Reminds me of Charlie Chaplain's The Kid, when he sends the kid to go around breaking windows, and then he earns money by showing up to repair them.

Elderly neighbor received call and asked me about it here in Sault Ste Marie, MI.  This was the number on her caller ID.  When she picked up and realized she didn't know who it was, she hung up...thankfully!

Keeps calling the house at all times, day and night. When the person they ask for is not home, they just hang up. Or when questioned who is calling, they hang up. They said their name was "Jim", but that was it and hung up right afterwards. This is getting very annoying considering they call until 9pm at night.

Has called repeatedly with caller id #'s 248-720-1586 & 248-720-1588.  Everyday for a week!

I am sick of your calls. When I call back ( after repeated calls after calls from THEM.. it says " no one is available to take your call" REALLY?? they call me repeatedly!! As late as 10:00p.m.!!! I have contacted legal advice. If they call after 8:00 p.m. They are violating laws.

This is a charity using a professional fund-raising business, well-paid it appears, since 36.3% of all the charity's income (including grants) goes for fund-raising.  Only 50.3% of income goes to the actual program, which is listed as advocacy and civil rights, not direct aid to the vets.  The other 13.2% goes for "administrative expenses," like office costs and staff wages.  Income is reported as $658,308 And total functional expenses were reported as    $708,897, including $257,753 for fundraising, with a net loss for the reporting year around -$50,000.  Charity Navigator gives this organization 1 star out of a possible 4.  I would not recommend it!

Repeatedly receive requests for me at my mother's phone number, when they ask for me and she tells them to wait, they hang up. She is very elderly and very unhappy about ceaseless pestering calls. I have no outstanding debts, neither does my mother. They do not state their business.

Got call from this number last week.  Blocked call.  I DO NOT take scam calls!  That's what these are!  Like the person above said, it's a rip off scam and they use the elderly and easily scammed public to fill their coffers!  Discusting! Get a CPR Call Blocker.  Worth every dime.  Oh, They just called again.  Rings once and than block stops them.

I had fun with this phone call because it's a voice command message.  You can ask it what time it is and it will answer another pr-planned answered. Just say delete name and number and it will give you an answer....
Hopefully they won't call back...

I was receiving calls for a long time from Vietnam Vets & this guy from paralyzed vets is the same guy.  He calls me by my first name.  I didn't pick up but he says my name & when nobody answers, he hangs up.  What a racket!  Thank goodness for caller ID.

do not believe anything they say.  Not real

When you answer a human sounding voice asks for me by name, when I say anything other than yes the voice says "oh it's nothing too important, i can call back" and hangs up.  It's actually a computer, but sounds like a human.  callerid "MICHIGAN PARALY" <2487201588>

CID said Michigan Parayl. This number has called 3 times today. Consumer Debt Relief has called twice and I won a free cruise today. Nothing but junk calls on the landline. Time to get rid of it I think.
