Telemarketer claiming to be from Roger's and saying that you have won 1000 air miles points

claimed to be bell and i could get a new phone

I keep getting these bogus phone calls from this [***] phone service provider.

Received a call from this number on my telus cell, didn't answer, area wasn't recongized. Glad I didn't.

Me too! on July13 2010 I received a call from this number but no message.  I too did not pick up because I didn't recognize the area code.  Glad I didn't answer either.
Tell me, why is it that you can block a number from your home phone but not your Telus Cell phone?

Received a call from this number but didn't answer because I did not recognize the number. When I went to call it back, it said that "we're sorry, your call can not be completed as dialed, please check the number and try your call again" and then it hangs up on you.

This is what happened to me on my cell phone with Rogers.

Same as the June 2010 (506) 939-7878 SCAM.

how do these scams get the cell phone numbers though if they're not listed?? I received a call from this number July 14, 2010 around 2:30pm I missed the call but wouldn't have answered it if I was by my Bell phone when the call came through... and it's really frustrating that you can't call them back and tell them to f*ck off!! This isn't the first call that has been placed to my phone like this either....

DAMM telemarketers

They called me too. Didn't answer... glad I didn't. They didn't leave a message.

Received call today 2011-07-04, I answered and questioned the lady on the line and was immediately hung up on. Total scam. Tried calling the number back but it came up as unlisted.

I too just got a call from  250-930-4268 2011-07-04 in Kelowna BC. Glad I didn't pick up :)

Area code (250) is in British Columbia but outside of Greater Vancouver but the  prefix (930) is for  Surrey which is part of Greater Vancouver, so it doesn't add up. Probably a spoofed caller ID. Anyways it's a recorded message telling me I won 1,000 air mile points (yeah sure). We won't truly know where the calls originate from. Google brings up lots of posts about this number. So if you see this number on your caller ID, just ignore it.

I received a call from this number too, same message.  I tried calling the number back only to be told the number "is not in service".  I pressed 9 instead of 1 and the call ended immediately.  If anyone happens to get a line on who these jokers are, it'd be appreciated if they would post it up.

They called me tonight and left no message.

Was at work had my phone on silence a message was left but it was just a beeping noise that seemed to go on forever.  I did try to call back and was told the number did not exist?? I live in kelowna too and have a fido sim card but a telus phone I decided to google the area code out of curiosity and was surprised to see the whole phone number come up right away.

Something about 1000 Airmiles.  Pressed 1, waited to hear a voice, then hung up.
