- farleythis is NCO FINANCIAL Services using the phone to develop information about you and to harrass you. they play off of the "This is Rachael from card member services scam" they are 3rd party debt collectors. they have a call center that uses this number AND 216-200-5188, 609-373-1904, 215-440-3000 832-301-8125, 763-200-6592, 313-204-1037 trunk lines. They start by calling your number to ask for "Bill" (or whatever name isn't yours) they then hope you will say who you are and how long you have had this phone number and to quit asking for "Bill". Bingo then they have proven to themselves who you are and they have the correct number. Pressing a digit to delete future calls only tells them that a live person is at the phone at that time of day, so they can step up their harrassment. note: their website even states "did you get a phone call from us? Please call XXX.
DO NOT DO IT. WHEN YOU CALL THEM, IT GIVES THEM LOTS OF LEGAL WAYS TO EVADE THE "Fair debt collection act" They are harrassing you to call them, they won't initiate the phone call because they have been sued so many times for violating the law. NCO has even gone as far as listing 251-272-1440 as a dentist in Alabama named Elwood Sneed. They have recently closed call centers in the US and have call centers in the Carribean and in Ceylon.- Caller: NCO FINANCIAL SERVICES

- HowintheWorldI just got a new cell phone last month, w/a brand new number (so my ex can't call me) and the first thing I did was list the number on the Do Not Call Registry, and so far, I've gotten over a dozen calls from 251-272-1440. How did this company even get my number? Leaving voicemails & eating up my minutes . . . how do I get them to stop?
- Caller: Didn't leave a name on the Voice Mail
- g!perhaps the best way to do is save it as NO and bingo. When rings and is NO then do not even bother. I know yu may have to NO probably 20 times each time with each different number but..
Also generate a list with all numbers in that country and do not answer!
I understand these collectors people need a job they can become doctors and help their own country.THEY NEED TO GO TO SCHOOL!!! - JoeSo they called me on my cell phone from this number. I called them back from a Skype number with no ANI. When I ask information about the company, they hang up on me :) Loads of fun! I think I'll do it all day :)

- r wolfethey called my cell phone and i told them i was on the no call list and not to call again... said her name was jenifer and there was nothing wrong with our credit card account but we should call them to lower our rate...
- Caller: not sure said her name was jennife
- Jeff3 calls per day for 4 days, called on my work phone w/ no caller ID. Punched "9" to delete each time ... then decided to play with them. Talked them up using bogus information, then let them know they were calling a business that uses call-recording & tracking for prosecution. Done this 3 times so far today. Almost fun to hear the panic as they quickly hang up.

- C. SchulerThis is harrassment!
- NancyThis same automated call is coming from several numbers; I've started taking them down: all have to do with your credit card, I never listen long enough to find out precisely what. "Arkansas call" 501-246-8748; "Alabama call" 251-272-1440 ("Jennifer with consumer services"); "Georgia call" 404-418-8936 (also "Jennifer with consumer services"). Right that, about hoping the opt-out option on these comes early in the call, but clearly one will need to use it again and again until all the initiating phone numbers have been exhausted.
- Caller: "Alabama call"
- CookieDon't know, didn't answer, don't want whatever they're selling.
