I *67'ed the number. Recorded message with no company name said, Hello, if you would like to be placed on a DNC List press 1 now.”
Never press any button. It validates your number and will guarantee many future calls.
I have Blacklisted this number. If this number calls again it will be registered to Caller ID history, but the phone will never ring.

Robo call, from 'dealer services', regarding our credit card.  urgent that we press 1 now to speak to a representative to lower our interest rate.  hung up, and blocked number.   caller ID said Aulander, NC

Spammers for sure!!! Great advice has been given here previously, just to reiterate:
just blacklist them on ur smartphone - go to call log and press on the number, holding the press until options appear, one of which will say something like "add to reject list." Then whenever this # calls ur phone again it wont ring but will show up on call log. But if u do push a button to opt out or "get added to" their DNC list, they will keep calling u.

Immediately block this caller they will continue to call you back and spam you and scam you do not press any buttons that they tell you to because they will always call you back

10/07 12:28 PDT  Don't recognize number,  or name and no message left.  Too bad.  Unless I'm sure of who is calling, I don't answer.  If it is legit, they'll leave a message and I will have the option to return call, or not.  10 mins. prior to this call there was another that shows me calling myself and display on TV screen shows unavailable/unavailable.

This company will not stop calling me. I have asked that they stop calling but they wont.

The old lower your interest rate on your credit card scam. Now , as low as 1% !

Probably because the last time they called I told them I get 2.99% currently, can you give me  0% ?

I just pick up and hang up now.

When I called that number I received a message that the number has been disconnected.
How the hell can the number be disconnected yet recorded on my caller ID only moments before? I am getting tired of this crap.

It is because they are spoofing the Caller ID info and showing a number that is not in service.  In a few days or a week they will spoof another number, or they will spoof your own number so it looks like you called yourself.

Caller ID is a nice feature of phone service, but it has flaws.  Criminals exploit those flaws so it is harder for the authorities to track them down.

I will suggest to give them then name of a foreigner famous singer and give them your local police address as well as suggest to call you on your private number and give them the local police phone number. Then block the call, they will  try to call the police asking for a person who doesn't exist at least those calls will be a concern for your local police department as they increase :)

Scam targeting seniors. Calling back gives a recorded message: Hello and thank you for calling. If would like to be placed on the do not call list for the number that called you please press 1.

I have no idea who this is and will not answer calls that the number is not familiar to me. Knowing it could be a scam or anything. I hate calls like this.

Ilike the idea of giving them the polices number as a pvt number.sounds like a plan.

Blocked the number, now they continue to call from different numbers all originating from Ausland, NC. Every day, twice a day for months now.

10/10 11:38 PDT Another in the incredibly long list of numbers calling about lower credit card interest but never identifying who they are.  If they were to be believed my interest should be several million minus and they should be owing me for every purchase made with a card.  As is my practice, even if I had been here wouldn't have answered.   New catch phrase (well maybe not so new, but appropriate) for all of these callers,  DON'T CALL ME, I'LL CALL YOU.

WARNING--BEWARE!!  These callers are   B I G   credit card criminals, known as the card service scammers. Under NO circumstances give your credit card number to these lowlifes, or you will regret it forever!

They call almost every day with a recording telling me this will be my last chance to lower my credit card payments, but the keep calling, even when I speak to a representative and ask them to remove my number. They keep calling

Got one too.  Why doesn't our government round up these criminals and stick them in jail for 10 years?

They are working on it.  But it takes time, gathering evidence (did you report this number to the FTC?), building a case, going to trial, etc.  Nobody in Government can just have them carted off to prison with a wave of their hand... and you don't want anyone in this Country to ever have that power.
