I answered the call.  It was a recording saying the call was for a "Tara" in a very garbled voice synthesizer.  The recording said if the receiver (me) was not "Tara" to hang up which I did.

I received a call asking if I was Kristy. Then I was told that they were calling about a fraudulent loan that I took out in 2009 and I never paid. I asked why had no one contacted me until now and I stated that I need documentation. They told me I couldn't ask questions and to take care of the matter now or the sheriff will arrest me in Durham County. I've never done business with them or received information from them. They have called several family members and left threatening messages on their answering machine stating I was facing fraudulent charges if I didn't handle the matter today.

Fix them by blocking the number or ignoring the calls entirely, even with the answering machine. These crooks get nothing from the numbers they call, they can't threaten anyone, or for that matter, do anything at all. Pass the word along to your family to stop them from bothering you.

They have violated several FDCPA regulations and are trying to extort money form you.

The immediate pay is a red flag  as is refusing to give you information.  Arrest will NOT happen even if you did owe money.  That would be a civil matter.

They called me as well regarding some paid day loan back in 2009 that never happened. Said if I didn't pay they Said they were issuing a summons for fraudulent checks and I will need to retain an attorney because its going to coast me three times as much. They even called my father's cell number. Crazy how they got that. Scam Scam Scam! Just make sure you notify your bank and credit cards because she read out my social and a few other more account numbers. Freaked me out! Also let your employer know not to give any info out about pay or anything or that you even work there. They will start calling and harassing fellow employees. Its gotten stupid an I wish this would stop!!!!!

The (I hate you) person is trying to throw you off. I'm sure it's OPD solutions trying to make this website look fake. They are a true scam!!!!!

This is a total scam, I have received calls from both Greenville and Goldsboro, they make idle threats and try to get you to "verify" your SSN and other identifying info, DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE ANYTHING, just file a complaint through the Do Not Call Registry.  I am sick of people like this trying to get over on people, scammers are scum of the earth!

They have called me back to back from another number as well 252-251-0703. I am placing a complaint with the attorney general's office as they have violated several FDCPA regulations. When I told the rude lady on the line she then stated that I don't want your money you can pay it to your local courthouse.

I received the same threatening message. These are SCAMMERS . They're also using the name CRS Solutions. Block and report them.

its not a scam, however there is NOTHING they can do but harass you. Its a pay day loan. In most cases you have already triple paid them so they need to [***] OFF with the high interest. They target low income people, or people in distress. You borrow 300, and end up paying back 1800.......

I got a phone call from this number and they said that they were calling on behalf of Highland Holdings, which, when I looked it up, is a payday loan company.  I do not do business with payday loan companies.  He tried to tell me that this is a civil matter, which means small claims.  I told him that if there were civil charges filed against me that the sheriff would already have been here to give me the summons.  Since there is no summons, there is no case.  I hung up and blocked the caller.  The call came from Greensboro.
