I didn't answer and then called this number back because I used to have a client in the New Bern, NC area. I got a message that identified themselves as representing "a great non-profit organization". Definite spam call.

I picked up and they claimed to be the police. Seriously?

Got a call from these jokers as well.  They claim to represent the NC Fraternal Order of Police and are asking for donations.  When I asked them how much of the money is passed onto the Fraternal Order of Police, I was told "12.5%".  I simply could not believe this is legal.

Imagine that you give 100 dollars to the NC Fraternal Order of Police, but only 12 dollars actually goes to where it was originally intended.  How can this scam be legal??

got a call from these scumbags as well 08-15-2014 at 9:23 am, they seem to be working overtime all of them this week and last week, didn't answer which I never do, they didn't leave a message so goes to show its not important or they wanting to squeeze some money out of you. One time when I did they got real hateful and I slammed the phone down after telling them where to go.

I did answer--and got the message that it was the FOP also.  He couldn't understand how I could possibly turn him down.  I did get him to laugh at a comment I made--caught him off guard!  Normally I do not answer--but I was expecting a call from a doctor whose number hasn't been entered into my phone system yet.....
