I've been getting calls from this number every weekday lately. Anyone know anything about this number? I can't find any info on it.

I wish I had something to offer other than the fact that I got my first call from there today...

Yeah, it was in my area code also. I believe they are in Des Moines, WA, but that's as far as I could get. I've been reporting them to the "Do Not Call Registry" every day, but they haven't stopped yet.

Like you, I have 'em shown as being in Des Moines, WA - but no usable info.

I usually wait until the third call to file a DNC complaint, unless I am SURE they're not some sort of 'charity' or a political survey outfit, both of which are exempt by the Fed's rules (with which I disagree, but that's another story!).

I called them today and informed them that they have 30 days to stop calling me, by law, or they will be sued. I have recorded 35 calls from them in the last 42 days.

WOW - great work! I've been getting calls from them nearly every day, and got TWO today...

They've now been notified to stop clling me, too!

They just called me a few minutes ago, i said hello, but no response

that area code is used in the South King County of Washington State. I got one too and even though my area code is 253 it also came up as 'OUT OF AREA"

I keep getting calls from this no. too. Thot it was a local number as it did not have the 253 showing on my caller ID. That, I thot, put it in the Gig Harbor area. No response when I've tried answering it thinking it was a cell phone no. from someone in the area.

I know you can assign any name you want for your cell phone number. So perhaps he/she has a phone system, or certain kind of phone to assign the words Out Of Area where they are suppost to put their name. Or that person has a different local service provider than you do.

Cell phone said 3002 with no other numbers. Did not answer, no message

Get calls from this number weekly.  Never answer, but they never leave a message.

It is a political call for a Democratic candidate here in 8th dist. in Washington State.

Ridulous number of unsolicited calls.  The caller never leaves a message.  When I hit reply, I am sent to automated message that tells me that if I do not want to recieve calls, I should contact them.  I did, but the calls continue.

I did visit their website and followed every single option for DO NOT CALL.  (email, phone message).

Follow-up.  I think that Meyer is NOT going to honor thier privacy policy.  Why?  A minute ago, I called their "do not call" number.  The woman who answered quickly cut me off and transfered me to someone's VM.  Then, when I used the email option to ensure that my email wasn't used, I got this error message: "The following addresses had permanent fatal errors ----- <webmaster@callmeyer.com>"

This business is unethical.  Attempts to "opt out" or "Do Not Call" only result in additional calls and serve to confirm your identity for further abuse.

Legal remedies?

Got a call from them today.  Answered, they wouldn't say anything.  I went to their site and filled in the do not call info, but also tried to call them at the number listed there just to see who they were and what they were calling me for.  
Turns out if you don't know the extension of who you wish to talk to, it just says "thanks for calling" and cuts off.
Sure makes me wonder why they are so secretive!

You know, a long time ago we bought one of those "telezappers".  You can still get them on EBay.  I got a call from that number but when I answered no one was there.  So, thanks to the telezapper, their computer interpreted it as a fax machine.  Now I won't hear from them again.  I've been so impressed with the Telezapper that I bought one for our summer home!

I just began getting calls over the weekend beginning at 8'ish in the morning...really?! Come on!  It says it's Seattle WA w/253 area code...Thank you to the person who provided the link to Meyer Teleservices website for DNC request.  I only provided my phone number so lets see if it works.
