These folks called me and said I've been selected to receive $7,200 gave me this number and a code. Called the number a lady answers, says I need to go to Western Union, call when I'm there and she'll tell me what to do then after pressing the matter with her she states I need to deposit $200 in order to get the $7,200 dollars and they will pay me the $7,200 plus my $200 back. Gives me an address of 200 Southwest Independence Avenue, Washington, DC 20201
Watch out for this huge scam..........................

Just got a call left on my answering machine.  The whole call wasn't recorded because I think the man started speaking before the "beep", he had a REALLY thick accent but I believe his name was Justin Williams (not sure though).  He didn't repeat what the call was about and the only thing I heard was that I shouldn't ignore the call and that he needed to hear back from my attorney or my bank, and if he didn't, then back things "would come down on me", then ends the call with a "good luck, have a good day"!  I am not calling the number back.

Caller claimed to be the IRS and demanded the call to be returned.  Doubt that this was the IRS; they do not contact individuals in this manner.

WHY cannot our government protect us from scam artists like this? What is the DNC list for anyway? It is worthless, indicative of just about everything our government does.

Apparently you were unable to comprehend the words on the page you visited, when you signed up for the DNC service.  Instead of relying on a misunderstood government freebie, try handling the problem yourself!

The DNC does not possess a magic switch that can stop calls from bothersome/unwanted callers.  However, YOU do!

Yes, indeed - every modern phone (both landline and cell) has a cunningly placed, magic switch that can cut off those nasty calls.  Here are some ways you can use it:

Technique #1, requires NO action on your part, automatically switches the call:
If you have Caller ID (CID), and see a number you do not recognize,  or know it belongs to a telespammer, DO NOT ANSWER THE PHONE.  Instead, let the call go to your answering machine or voicemail.

Technique #2, for those people who MUST pick up the phone:
If you hear a telescammer, immediately hang up.  Activate that "magic" OFF switch manually!

But wait ... there is more!  If you pay attention for the next minute (or longer, if you are a slow reader), you can get your very own AUTOMATIC switch that will block calls from those nasty folks.  That's right, it will block ALL calls from the numbers YOU designate, for only pennies a week!

And, here it is ... simply google "phone blocker".  You will soon see a list of phone blocking apps, devices, and telephones that provide the "magic switch" for which you were wishing!

Google "phone blocker" right now, and end your dependence on a misunderstood Government Do Not Call list.  Create YOUR OWN Do Not Call list, and rely on your own ability to identify those telescum who bother you.  Then, next time you get a repeated call from a telescammer, you can blame yourself for not blocking that number the first time it called.

You say you are not satisfied?  You want more for your money?  Well, for a limited time, you can google "call blocker" and see if there is any difference between that search and the one you used for "phone blocker".  All it costs is a few keypresses, and should keep you happily occupied for an indeterminate time, as you read about all the devices and apps you have been missing.

Advanced users of this magic switch should recognize the Federal Do Not Call list is effective only for legitimate telemarketers.  Telespammers ignore the list.  However, those telescum cannot ignore YOUR list, since you can block ANY incoming call with a simple button push!  Get your daily exercise by pressing that button.  Burn calories, strengthen your fingers!  Be more powerful than the Federal DNC list!

Tell your friends and neighbors about this "magic switch".  Share numbers.  Make more friends and influence people.  You too can be the life of the party line by blocking unwanted callers.  Empower YOURSELF!  Take control!

    and, have a nice day.

Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

I got this same call. They were threatening to arrest me within 30-45 minutes and that all my assets would be frozen within 15 minutes. After telling them that I received no written communication, etc. And that my taxes are current, etc. he simply said, "Okay, thanks, bye" and hung up.

A man just called me and claimed to be the IRS and I needs topay over 2000 dollars or they would take all my property's. Didn't want me to interrupt the conversation. Well sorry the IRS doesn't do that if they want your info then they would just show up and take it and you wouldn't be able to do anything about it. Also there number would come up as private if they were to call. Better leave me alone you dumb [***] and go back to your own piss poor country because you could be messing with the wrong people. Someone always trying to scam not me been there done that before. A cold day in hell work for a living people and then you would understand why it would drive us nuts because we work hard for our money.
